| Quote: Red John "No Hansen, no Gleeson. Looks like Meli into the centre with Johnson (or Evalds) returning on the wing. I wonder what's happened to Hansen. If you look at the Wigan board, you'd be forgiven for thinking he must now be receiving intense counselling, having made the biggest mistake of his life moving to Salford (even if it was for triple the money). Maybe that's it.'"
Maybe Harris has decided that he needs a breather he look shot at the end of the game on Thursday.
I’d go with
Eden
Johnson
Sa’u
Meli
Evalds (don't think Williams looked fit at the end of the Wigan game)
Chase
Smith
Griffin
Tomkins
Tasi
Hock
Dixon
Puletua
Lee
Morley
Ashurst
Rapira
Walne and Williams to miss out

Greg Eden was one of our better players last week, so I can't see Evalds replacing him. I think it's more likely he's in the squad as cover for Danny Williams, who again looked like he'd pulled a hamstring towards the end of the Wigan game. Shame really.

Moving Meli to centre and throwing Evalds on the wing was something I wanted to see against Wigan and I was lambasted for such a suggestion, but still worth a trial IMO

If Williams is fit he'll start IMO as red John says think Evalds is just in there as cover.
I’m surprised that Walton isn’t in the squad given that he’s been fit for a couple of weeks now.
Walton and Sa’u in the centres with Meli and Johnson on the wings might have been a better option?

| I'm sure there's a reason Walton isn't playing.
Harris has mentioned moving peoples positions and playing them when he's comfortable they've adapted to their new roles, perhaps he's made the decision Walton belongs in the pack but has a few things to learn first?

Walton looks a much better player in the 2 nd row, not fast enough for centre in super league

| I'd love to see Evalds get a go as he will if nothing else add a little extra pace, if Johnson is back I'd have him outside Meli and Evalds/Sa'u on the other side.
As for Walton I thought when he came on in the second row away at Widnes he looked a cracking prospect and someone I'd like to see used as much as possible in the 2nr row or loose position.

| I think Evalds should have been given a chance in the outside backs well before now, but if the previous reports of his dual registration, then loan to Barrow, are correct, he is not eligible to play for SRD, under RFL Rules, until next season.
The last thing we need is points deductions and fines for fielding an ineligible player, even though he has been with Salford since he was 16!
Of course the dual followed by loan may have been journalistic inaccuracy, in which case there wouldn't be a problem if it was one or the other.
If you do get a shot, Niall, go for it. Good luck.

| Can't see anything but a resounding defeat for us again. It's not the teams lack of ability it's their morale.

He may yet get his chance. It looks likely that Jake Mullaney will be out for the rest of the season, so, with Greg Eden due to return to Hull (or Gateshead) soon, we'll be without a full back.

thats hardly a revelation considering our present run of form !
Masoe's comment is interesting "They're a physical side with some big boys," said Masoe. "They're about to turn their season around and hopefully it's not against us."
lets hope the turnaround isn't from mediocre to disaster..

There may have been a misunderstanding with another player signed on the same day.
The following may allay any sense of impending doom....
[iSalford full-back Niall Evalds, who has joined Barrow for a month as part of the club’s dual-registration agreement, with Super League Salford.
Red Devils forwards Stuart Howarth and Adam Walne – who impressed on their Barrow debuts against Featherstone last Sunday – are not available as they might be needed for their parent club, who play two matches over the Easter period.
“He is a very good prospect,”[/i Goulding said of Evalds“He has good feet, and is a good athlete. Niall will be with us for a month on a dual-reg, so he doesn’t class as a loan player.”
