Radio Mcr have just interviewed Stuart Duffy, Media Manager (I think) at Bradford Bulls. Wasn't the most insightful interview; said how Bradford fans raised £500k in a month which didn't stop administration but bought time, then he said that all clubs have different Salary Caps.

John has been on. He was quite upbeat. Says a number of potential investors have come to the fore today and believes the business plan and 2013 budget is 'robust'. May even make a profit if all goes well.

For me it was just another fluffy pipedream head in the sand statement from SJW.
His statement that we will be potentially make a profit due to a robust plan or mewas simply delusional. They've not managed it for years why will now be any different unless they are expecting to pay peanuts for playing staff .

Granada Reports have painted a slightly different picture; more emulsion than gloss. They say Salford are contacting Peel to see if they would still be willing to part with the £750k they would have met the Council with. This would certainly help with cashflow and meet the immediate concerns of the winding-up petition. Otherwise, the club is heading for administration.

More hot air I fear. I really feel sorry for all Salford fans who have had to put up with this hot air since about last July. It more and more looks like an excercise in trying to get to the beginning of the season, playing a game then hoping for help like Bradford got. So more investors have now come out of the woodwork.....of course they have John. If true then great but I expect them to 'pull out at the last minute' and disappear from whence they came and no names will ever be mentioned. Temporary cash flow problem probably means no one is getting paid at Christmas time.

There is one week to Xmas, then many businesses will close until the 3rd January. The winding up hearing is very early in January. If it has taken this long to try and negotiate a loan, how long will it take to negotiate with investors?

An indicator might be if the friendly goes ahead on the 30th December.
