I can not see this stadium happening and we have to accept the warning we have failed to meet standards that we promised. I feel the club dont show any ambition on or off the field to get the stadium and things are bleak for this club. If the stadium was a going to be built it should have been started now i just think there trying to lie there way out of trouble. And it is are fans that suffer for it.

dont worry i have plan b............. a few weeks before the applications have to be made ill nip down cheetham hill and get some cheap hi vis jackets(will order the xxxxxxl ones well in advance for the slug and wilkie)for the usual suspects to don and hire a mini digger and a skip from me mate at hss hire and all head down to the costa del barton ring a few journos up and like last time get a few pics of father ted wilkie and the slug with spades in there hands and hey presto we'll fool the rfl again pmsl icon_lol.gif

lets not worry bout anyone else,at the end of the day we have told big porkies to get this license and cant see us fooling rfl twice would be happy being a leigh or widnes fan,both nailed onto get in at the expense of us,wakey and cas with there shiny new grounds

I think you need a minimum number of seats in the stadium. Would imagine Hull KR will have to up their capacity as didn't they want everyone playing in grounds with 12000+ capacity?

Obviously it's not good news (or publicity) for us, but I'm glad to see the RFL being proactive and hope that it will have a positive effect on the progress being made towards our new stadium.

can't say I am surprised at this news.

For a while now I have thought that 2 clubs from Castleford, Wakefield and us are in danger of not getting another licence come decision day for 2012.

Leigh and Widnes have the grounds already and I would imagine that Halifax will have once that stand is completed (if it isn't already)

There is no way, new ground or no new ground that Saints will go out, and ditto Celtic.

Performance on the field I am sure would help any case of staying in, so in the next 2 seasons the Reds had better improve.

Widnes have already ticked one box for getting a licence.

I have no "inside" knowledge of what the situation is regarding the new ground at Barton, but the continued silence from the club suggests it isn't looking good.

Won't shock me at all to be back in NL come 2012.

Soz to sound so down beat but cant really see the point in the officials of the club belittling the fans all the time with all the bull etc and getting stories all the time from 3rd hand sources!!
