I noticed this a couple of weeks ago and thought it was way to far down towards Irlam to be anything to do with the stadium, would have thought it more to do with enabeling wors for the port build.

| Taken from the council website
A57) Liverpool Road / Cadishead Way
Work is due to commence on the (A57) on Tuesday 14 April 2009 for a period of 18 weeks at the following location:
(A57) Liverpool Road / Cadishead Way Junction including the Gyratory.
The works are required to construct an entrance into the new waste facility site.
Delays should be expected, alternative routes should be found were possible.
As for the trucks parked up on the lay by its a favourite stopping point for all sorts of trucks.
On a slighlty different note I attended a council meeting recently and there was a flyer included in the schedule for the evening which read
A Public Meeting
The guest speaker will be John Wilkinson OBE
To discuss the development at Peel Green
Wednesday 24th June
Methodist Church School Hall
Alexandra Road
Off Liverppol Rd
Peel Green
7.30pm - 9.30pm

| Fairshare Scheme Success in Barton
Monday 1st June 09
Delivering innovative projects across the whole of the North West is a pre-requisite for Salford City Reds Foundation, but one of the most successful schemes has been a Fairshare project delivered in Barton, an area of Salford that will eventually become home for Salford City Reds on completion of the Stadium build.
Currently half way through a 2 year scheme designed to engage the local community of Barton, the Reds Foundation’s development officers and community coaches have been delivering activities in local primary schools covering everything from skills session to healthy eating.
Eccles Neighbourhood Manager, Julie Blagden said:
"Supported by Salford City Council, the Salford Reds Foundation has delivered some fantastic work in the Winton area. It's great that this project can now be extended into the Barton area thanks to funding awarded from the Fairshare Trust".
Since launching in 2003, the Fair Share Trust has established itself in 81 neighbourhoods across the nation through the work of local delivery partners – ‘local agents and aims to:
• Build Capacity and Sustainability – by involving local communities in decision-making about lottery funding.
• Build Social Capital – by building links within and between communities to promote trust and participation.
• Improve liveability - by improving the living environment for communities.
Jean Mills, Development manager for The Community Foundation for Greater Manchester said:
"The Community Foundation for Greater Manchester is pleased to support this exciting initiative with Salford City Reds Foundation to provide coaching and activities for young people in Barton by providing a grant from The Big Lottery's Fair Share Trust Programme.
“This programme is keen to support children and young people and this initiative will provide skills and help to develop a healthy attitude to exercise as well as improving confidence in young people which they can take back to their communities

what alternative routes are those then, theres one road in and one road out of irlam and cadishead and as for the A57 work yes we know about that, what work flesywas onabout was probably the road they have started to build just past makro down the side of the golf club it's rather large, and as I have now found out that was what the tippers were for and they were ennis construction tippers.

| We both know there isnt an alternative local route apart from the private road across the moss which gets closed by the farmers when there are traffic problems
According to the link i`ve looked at the building work past Makro is for a new industrial estate, for more details follow the link.
