I certainly hope so!
Have a feeling Hock will be another.

Very harsh indeed.
We do need to move on but he's been consistent and his try tally is more than 'the odd try'.

| Stanley, he CAN play hooker. He's even played there for England 'A' in the past.

Quote: Red John "I think (or hope) this is the case. Having released Jordan James and (allegedly) Jewitt and Griffin, we seem to be massively short of props, particularly given that the one confirmed front row signing will, in all likelihood, be absent injured for half to two thirds of the season, and yet we don't appear to have been strongly linked with many props.'"
Puletua has been used in front row / interchange prop this season at Saints , We've already sign two Props this season , the swap deal for Boyle bringing Emmitt in & the Loan Deal with Griffin from Leeds with a 3 yr deal so , we have
Morley
Puletua
Emmitt
Griffin
McPherson
Walne A
Walne J
With James - Neal - Jewitt- Gledhill leaving ?
Also have Alex Davidson if he's retained
the Griffin rumour I would question, doesn't sound like a player on the outer. www.yorkshireeveningpost.co.uk/s ... -1-5937347

What concerns me is that, with the best will in the world, Morley and McPherson can be virtually discounted as they are likely to miss far more matches than they play, while the article you link to has no bearing on whether Griffin is leaving or not since the rumours emerged after it was published. In this (not unrealistic, I would argue) worst-case scenario, this leaves the front row very skinny indeed.

True - Morley - Puletua- McPherson , you wouldn't expect a full season injury free, Morley & Puletua to age , McPherson must have broken a mirror with the luck he's had with injuries.
Griffin-I don't know , being moved so soon after a 3 yr deal ? and keep McGoldrick for his 2nd year ??

| I've a feeling that Rapira will be a name revealed next Thursday, was reading the other day he is playing his final home game this weekend and it's his 150th appearance so for his age he has bags of experience and would be a huge signing for SL and Salford.

Are you kidding me? Ive watched him play hooker and it was pathetic, Adrian Morley is more of a hooker than him! Hes a winger/centre, fair enough he has scored a few tries but hes not good enough in my eyes and is our weakest back along with McGoldrick who also needs to go

I don't think I'd class Puletua as injury prone (on a rough calculation, I think he's made more appearances this season than Morley and McPherson put together). Nevertheless, as you say, age is a factor. I already find it pretty incomprehensible that we've just signed one injury prone prop. It would be reckless - to say the least - to have signed another.
Releasing Griffin would be a strange one, so I'm hoping either that it's not true or that we've signed someone impressive to replace him (all the Burgess brothers and James Graham would be nice). Some people have pointed out that Griffin has become less effective since he signed a 3 year deal, but he's still one of our most effective forwards. Jewitt also. We seem to lose a lot of 'go forward' when these two are spelled.
McGoldrick I'm less concerned about. He seems to be able to do a reasonable job in a number of positions, and that utility value means, for me at least, that it wouldn't be a disaster if he stayed.

Which one though? I think we've been linked with Steve the second-row rather than Sam the prop.

During his 2 years at North Queensland Cowboys first year was Interchange back row
second year he was split between starting 2nd row & Loose Forward with a couple of starts in the front row.
Played in all three positions for NZ Warriors
Majority back row but seems like he able to do a job in all positions,
