BBC NW now forecasting 2-5cm of snow on Saturday in low lying areas.

yeah its lucky we are situated on a main road by a busy motorway so i cant see the roads iceing over much they will keep the pitch covered for as long as possible i recon

On Monday the late weather forecast on BBC put up a graph to show what the temperature could be this weekend and basically it could be 7C or -2C depending on the strength of the winds from the west and east.

So if we could get DI,LT,MM & PT on the pitch from 4.00pm the game would be definitely on?No hot air blowers needed.

The thing is, although there is a reasonable amount of sense in not laying undersoil heating for a potential 2 month window in a summer sport, we will be hugely laughed at and widely derided if the first game proper in a new stadium is weather affected.

I suppose it depends how heavily it snows. If it causes a logistics problem for sky and supporters getting to the game then you can't blame not having underfloor heating.

I presume hat the stadium owners never envisaged a footie club ever playing there so felt there was no need.
