Or other fans buying of Salford because their club allocation has been sold? I suggest looking at other forums, people being advised to buy from Salford.

You will be able to walk around the whole second tier. You can also access the third tier via the spirals.

The beer at Mary Ds is disgusting and expensive. I'd always recommend having a beer in town and then making your way to the ground. There are some other places near Mary Ds that are marginally better. Eastlands Bar is better but the last I heard it had it's license removed (temporarily).

Quote: Swinton_Red "How far is it to walk from the Northern Quarter up near Drybar to the ground ?'"

I can do it in about 25mins. Get on to Great Ancoats Street, heading towards Ashton. before you get to the retail park on the left you will see a canal. Walk alonmg this canal and it will take you to the ground.

As an alternative, you can catch the 216, 236 or 237 on Great Ancoats Street and this takes 5 minutes. You can also catch the bus in Piccadilly infront of NatWest.

If there is a group of you, get a cab. It costs around £6 to the ground from Piccadilly.

Best club site IMO.

For those going corporate....lucky you. The facilities are superb.

Is this just because other fans have been buying from us because they've sold out? Or will we actually be taking decent numbers??

So, will that be 760 from Hudds and 1240 from Salford then? (if our fans can make a journey that far - I remember Moor Lane 2003)

Giants have sold 1700-1800 so according to the RFL Salford have sold around 2800. Well done.

I have been told by a resident that the pubs around the ground put at least 50p on the price of a drink on matchdays.

Firstly thank you for your concern and I appreciate you being helpful. However being a 50/50 football and rugby fan, I'd say along with majority of football fans, we tend not to care about prices and beer, we just deal with and accept what will be will be. Something I can't understand watching football far and wide, you want to watch, you have to pay the price. Yet when it comes to watching rugby the majority of fans are very negative at the 1st opportunity. If fans put more effort into moaning about thinks and being proactive supporting the club then life would be alot happier. For some reason ruby fans think they are fair superior than football fans, I'd suggest they spent following Utd/City/Bolton, then they'd realize how much it cost supporting your club! Rant over but we shall be in Mary D's buying "overpriced and disgusting" beer but hey? lets not let it spoil having fun you bunch of mard icon_ass.gif.

PS. Bring on the Salford.

I heard the same thing. They would have to sell beer cheaper during the week otherwise the locals would not go.

The beer is truly dreadful. I would rather go to the ground and drink or go to the Summerbee Bar in City Square. If it is open, I would recommend getting there early. The prices at the ground are very similar to those in Mary Ds.

To those of a United persuasion, you will be glad to know the owner is a red.
