| Quote: Early Bath "I have supported Harris throughout the poor period but with all the `stars` there last night expected a win though all the Bookies had it as +6 and they were spot on.
Sheens is the ONLY man in my view to decide on Harris. He will see the inner workings and whether players are developing and for me unless God was available I would stick with the current staff until seasons end unless the experienced Aussie has an alternative view.
Agree with much has been said especially from theredshed but I will be there Sunday supporting.'"
The question though EB is will Sheen's want to come in and rock the boat if he's only here until September? Tim Sheen's may think he will get lumbered with the caretaker coaching role if he advises the Doc to get shut of Harris. Getting a possibly helpless SL team relegated wouldn't look good on his impressive CV would it?
Some could say Tim's coming for an extra pay cheque, the British summer and an opportunity to do some homework for Australia?

| I think we need to get a bit of perspective here.
Without trying to see everything through red tinted specs just think back to the Easter weekend - we beat Hudds away then were involved in 3rd place in the league playing 4th place - AND we won!!
What happened then was disastrous caused primarily by the players getting suspended though certainly the injuries didn't help either. The crisis was not handled well IMO - asking for games to be postponed and whingeing in the media just made our management (from owner downwards) look weak and ill prepared.
How much of that is directly down to IH is probably debatable, I strongly suspect that having Dr K as your boss brings it's own pressures and problems, but ultimately it is a results business and they aren't good (to say the least) - I wonder, if Catalans win on Sunday (by no means unlikely), whether he'll fall on his sword? Personally I hope he doesn't and that getting Tim Sheens in gives him a breathing space and that Sheens can create some kind of interface between the owner and the coaching staff to the benefit of all.
But, having said all that it is once more a bitterly disappointing, underachieving season though I do recall at the beginning of the new era many of us said (or thought privately) "I wonder how long it will take before it all goes t1ts up?"

| You cannot blame Harris because Dobson cannot catch a ball,or that a clown gives free kick away when we are on the attack
Koucash going on about we have extended Sau and Griffins contracts they are not good enough,we could end up with the ex Australian coach in the championship

Any professional sports team/coach that loses 9 out of 10 games with an expensively assembled squad will always be subject to scrutiny and criticism. Injuries, suspensions, bad luck, bad eggs, poor refs decisions etc, aren't relevant in the league table.

| Your final point is key BF, yet ANOTHER disappointing and underachieving season. Why? I can only blame the head coach, what in his previous coaching positions did he do to deserve the Salford position?
I can see what Marwan was trying to do, bring in a young British coach who has learnt from McGuire and Wane to implement many of the positives which saw Wigan win titles and cups. Unfortunately it hasn't worked and that's because Harris isn't McGuire or Wane. He didn't have the credentials in the first place to deserve the position, most people in RL could see that at the time apart from Marwan Koukash (a man with no knowledge or experience of the sport).
I hope with Sheens coming on board, he can review the situation and recommends to MK the most appropriate action. Whilst I would love to see some stability at the club, I just cant accept that under Harris' leadership we are going to fulfil our potential.

That particularly play resulted in just 6 points and didn't lose us the game, it was the 28 points prior. Nobody can blame Harris for that, it was pure stupidity from one of Super League' most experienced players.
Had we won the game last night, it would have papered over what was still (apart from a 10-15 minute spell) another poor Salford performance. A similar level to one that ground out a dogfight at Wakefield and were beaten by a Wigan team that dreadful for 70 minutes. Infact, I cant remember the last 'decent' performance from us (Leeds at home?).

Or an alternative reading is that having first brought in Brian Noble, which clearly wasn't working (I wonder why not?) - Dr K decides on a younger much less experienced coach on the basis that he can continue to interfere and he knows the coach won't be able to stand up to him?
I think the problems apparent at our club stem from more than just the head coach!

| I wouldn’t disagree with that, but we are only guessing. All we can do is discuss facts rather than speculate. You would hope this is where Tim Sheens will have the most positive of impacts, if anyone in RL could intimidate Koukash it must be him. If any home truths need to be said I cant imagine Sheens holding back. He is no ‘yes’ man and could leave Salford at the drop of a hat and be inundated with new coaching positions.

Thats why an older head would do the job,
but agree that it may not happen?
Does everyone think Tim Sheens would take the job?
I feel he is coming over here for a holiday to part some of his wisdom onto the players (which is great),
but ensure no pressure from the on field results are put on him.
Win win for him,
don't blame him.

If the job was permanent or at least 2 years I'd be ecstatic but the fact it's only for 2-3 months puts a dampener on it for me.

| The appropriate question would be that if Sheens had been involved/consulted when Noble was pushed if IH got the job? I seriously doubt it.
Think if IH does get the chop that Sheens will bring in a strict disciplinarian coach, more than likely one from the NRL, there are mutterings that Flanagan isn't secure at Cronulla and that Toovey will leave Manly at the end of the current season, not sure about Flanagan but Toovey for me would be a wonderful appointment.
