| Quote Ave It!="Ave It!"The attendance will be no higher than 3.2k, no matter what the Sunday brigade say. Going off the Friday/Sunday poll on twitter and the way people go on about Sunday rugby on here we should be getting 6k easy to every home Sunday home game. Friday or Sunday it makes no difference whatsoever, that my friends is fact. If anything I’d imagine we get less corporates on Sunday!!'"
But surely we're going to get the promised thousands of manufacturing sector workers turning up to swell the crowd.
Quote Ave It!="Mr Scholes."Sunday rugby doesn’t make a difference in fact I bet we have averaged more on Fridays than we have on Sundays over the years (?). And for me this is why I don’t like Sunday’s because they clash with football.'"
Fridays could clash with football too from the next tv deal. We either start playing Sunday at 6.30pm to avoid any football clash, or just face the fact that we could have clashes with football in 6 months of an 8 month season and just make the product we offer good enough to withstand that.

| I think it's less to do with which day we play, and more down to the constant changing in fixture dates and times. Season tickets would be more likely to sell if prospective buyers can plan around a specific day (Regardless of which day) Sky constantly chopping and changing dates and times to suite them, and constant clashes with local football matches are not helping.
So far (Including the upcoming game) we've had a Thursday @ 20:00, Saturday @ 19:30, and a Sunday @ 15:00.
Speaking from a season ticket holders point of view, it's hard to justify a financial commitment if, say, you could only do Fridays or Sundays. You add on all the self-inflicted bad press along with the MEN having a hard-on for negative Salford stories, MK's random outbursts, and Vickers issuing threats and negativity regarding fan base and it's surprising we get as many.
It's a shame, because the next few games of the season might be the most important for us in a while.

| Bring back the Golden Angel Scheme. Local school give out vouchers to reward pupils, once a chid has a certain number of vouchers, they can claim a free ticket to a home game as long as they are with a full paying adult. Even if only 100 children get a free ticket, that is still another 100 full paying adults, and overall an extra 200 people at the game supporting Salford. I remember this scheme getting us over 6000 for a pre-season cup game against Swinton, and if there is more than one child in a house, obviously if one is going any others will want to go as well.

| It was stopped last time because, " it was too much work "
However it was acknowledged that it was a success!

Sadly this is the truth. United and City rule and unfortunately that isn't going to change.
However I do think we could entice people from the Manchester area more frequently if the game day experience was improved significantly.

| I haven't seen any marketing from the club for any of the home games this season. Last season we offered the first 3 games for £50. Vickers needs to know moaning about it on social media wont help. As a city fan he should know success brings crowds in. That performance against saints will not help us as well.

| If what he says about the stadium costs is true, that's pretty damn worrying.
It would also add to reasoning why he seems keen to take some games on the road.

If what is said is true in that article regarding expenses it's hard to see how we can make it work at the AJ Bell even if we had the crowds. Even if we hit the mark this season at an 8000 average (Which was our aim but pie in the sky atm) the constant bill-rising each year would eventually cripple us. It's not sustainable if it's true. That's a worrying article, and unless MK buys the stadium outright, which I can't see happening, I can see our future elsewhere. Quite where is anyone's guess though.

| Would there ever be a possibility that we could leave the AJ Bell and have our own stadium in Salford similar to the Leigh one or (i know its smaller) FC United? I think its the only way the club will ever move forward and bring the Salford public back, but I don't know whether that would ever happen.

A little late, but someone happened to post a graph with last years attendances on ter, presumably rounded to the nearest 100. I did a quick calculation of the average attendances per day (Last season only):
Thursday 5000
Friday 5080
Saturday 3150
Sunday 4875
There's very little between days there, with the exception of Saturday plainly being daft. If you add in that Football will also be on Fridays in the future & Fridays mean lower away gates for some of the more distant teams (Notably the Hull clubs), then I think Friday & Sunday will be more equal in the future.
The more interesting point is that we really can't argue that Thursday nights are bad for us judging on last years stats!!
