Quote StanLee="StanLee"I look at the Doc as one of us - a supporter - and he has only said what most fans were stating after the match. He has more right than any of us to say it. We don't want sanitised comments when we all know the team are not playing to their capabilities.'"
Quote StanLee="sally cinnamon"Koukash is amateurish here, he's not behaving like a successful owner. He's just passing the buck and trying to be popular with the supporters for "speaking his mind".'"
Quote StanLee="Wirecutter"Have to agree with Redgunner and Talent Spotter. Social media isn't the place for an club owner to be publicly criticising his own team's performances. Express your disappointment at the results by all means but leave at that. If the Doc isn't happy he should keep it private and take the matter up directly with Noble.'"
Quote StanLee="TheButcher"I'd agree with that, except he hasn't said anything out of order in my opinion. Stating that the team have not performed seems fair enough to me.'"
Quote StanLee="Diavolo Rosso"He needs to tread a fine line. As pointed out it is refreshing to have a senior figure putting forward an honest view of what is happening but there's a danger he puts the playing and coaching staff under unnecessary pressure (there's already strong perception publicly that he's likely to be trigger happy and I imagine the players are staff have a similar perception in the back of their minds).'"
Quote StanLee="Talent Spotter"I can see where you are coming from, if I thought the criticism was useful and served a purpose I would be in favour, however all it seems to have done is to create negative headlines such as 'Devilution in crisis' in todays Sunday Mirror.'"
Quote StanLee="rubber duckie"Wouldn't official or media post match reaction be better coming from the man who Doc has employed to oversee such duties?'"
I think this sums it up. Yes, it is refreshing for an owner to speak his mind but he cannot class himself as a fan, because unlike the opinions of fans, everything he says publicly can be misconstrued, purposely or otherwise, to sell papers, get web hits etc. And there is little point having a media function at the club if Koukash continues to flout it.
