Quote Branny="Branny"I don't know whether it's the Stadium management's fault or the Union bods who decide the fixtures but surely the sensible option would have been to have Sale playing away when we are at home to avoid any clashes. Not rocket science.'"
We weren't meant to be at home, though. That's the point. This issue isn't actually down to Sale, they scheduled their fixtures around ours. Sky have suddenly decided, five days before the fixture, to move it to another date. Sod all this "Sky pay us good money so we do as they say" nonsense, this just shows the utter contempt they have for match going supporters. Do they not realise that some people may already have other plans for that day? Do they think people have nothing in their lives but rugby league? Not that it matters, they only care about the 'product' for television audiences. Awful.
They've made a mockery of professional football (but the Premier League is the greatest league in the world and people all over the globe tune in, so who cares if people have to travel from Manchester to Southampton on a Tuesday night) and they're well on the way to doing the same to rugby league. Regardless of where the game is played, if it's not on Friday night, I reckon I've already watched my last Salford game of the season. Thanks a lot, Sky.
