| As a Wigan fan, huge admiration to the 146 and those in other parts of the ground for turning out in these circumstances.
Perhaps Wigan should have taken the sensible decision to close the away stand.

| Quote LoyalFan="LoyalFan"The players for much of the season have hardly been an inspiring sight to the fans'"
Bit of a myth this imo. Would say there have only been 2 or 3 games which could be classed as unacceptable, London away and Widnes home, plus the first half at Wakefield away. Have lost quite a few close games that we could have won but just haven't been good enough. Would say the negatvity around the club is mainly due to matters off the pitch and the way the club is run. Although the players clearly spitting the dummy after Smith was sold has probably been the finally straw for quite a few people.
Brief summary of nights game:
Holdsworth clearly didn't want to be there.
The amount of times we lost possesion on the first tackle was criminal.
Walne went well despite losing the ball on his first two drives. Think he made our only line break of the game to set up the position for our try.
Howarth still at 7? Why?
Jordan James was probably our best player.
Everytime Salford tackled Tomkins, a penalty was awarded. Has a new rule been brought in?

| Give us a reason why we should waste money any more on are club we have never had any ambition and the fact is we are paying money while we are struggling.A people expect supporters to spend over £40 to go and watch a game we all know we will get stuffed in. Also why should we waste ae hard earned cash when a club don't tell you out and they would sell players for virtually nothing rather than want to challenge in playoffs. Why waste money to a club that just wants to be in super league to make up numbers and don't care that they don't make playoffs. I for one won't be getting season ticket any more rather save for family holiday. And it pains me to say that. What team will we have next year.

| Quote TrinityIHC="TrinityIHC"That's a strange opinion for someone who chooses "LoyalFan" as a username. If Wakey fans had stopped gong due to rubbish performances, we'd have gone out of business about 10 years ago!
Support your team through the bad times and it makes the good times all the sweeter!'"
You really don't have to educate me as to what it takes to be loyal... and how supporting a team during the bad times makes the good times all the sweeter.... for 29 of the last 30 years I have been waiting for those sweeter moments.... and everybody has a breaking point. Last season when we left The Willows... it pretty much ripped out what was left for me... to now have to go to what feels like a soulless shell, and pay £20 to do just that has just left no enjoyment. The whole experience of following Salford feels different now, and it's not enjoyable. It's not so much about just 'rubbish performances'... nothing feels right anymore... and really the passion has been ripped out. I never expect to see my team winning all the time... I'm not even that fussed about winning trophies... as a Salford fan you never come to expect that.... what I do like to see are players treating the shirt with respect. I just don't see that so much these days.
I hear of players complaining all the time... you rarely get a feeling that the players you have are going to be sticking around to give you that feeling of loyalty... so should I show them loyalty in return because after all... they are pretty much using Salford as a stepping stone to better things.
I get to the stadium to watch games and it doesn't feel like home anymore... the family feeling of watching Salford knowing you were all in it together has disappeared... and it bloody hurts. There is always something going on... always rumours and gossip... nothing is ever right for more than a couple of weeks at a time... and it just gets you down.
Despite all that... Cut me open and it says Salford through the middle...it's that reason that makes it just impossible at the moment... it hurts to much to see my club operate like this.

| The image on page 1 was taken when the SCR players were warming-up.
They were on the pitch long before the Wigan players made an appearance and the first player,as usual,warming-up was DJ.Surprising if he didn't want to be there.
I did think 2 of the Wigan tries were doubtful, despite the efforts of Tomkins to referee the game and their group of supporters who stand and drum seem to suppress the atmosphere, not add to it.
I'm sure I read somewhere that Wigan didn't even sell out the CCC semi-final at Huddersfield and that was played on a weekend, not on the night of a weekday.
I can't quite believe I have read on here anything anti-Salford........

| The Wigan game merely confirmed a few things we have known all season.
Bigger packs will bully us.
Our forwards are not big enough to make the necessary yards.
Steven Howarth, hard though he tries, will never be a scrum half.
Our right side defence continues to disappoint. For me Sean Gleeson is too rooted to the spot defensively - though ball in hand he is very exciting.
We can defend well against those who try to run through us, but struggle massively against those who have the speed and guile to run round us.
We get rattled too easily when decisions go against us.
We don't get many 50/50 decisions.
We need a better kicking game.
We need a tight knit group of players for next season who really want to play for the club.
I hope Phil Veivers and Sean Long can find them.

| Patten saved a few tries last night, some fantastic 1 on 1 defence, cutting down players by running the right angle. Barely noticed him in attack, he was just stood out on the wing for a while at one point in the 2nd half.
I still think giving a knockon against Gleeson when he hacked the ball forward with his foot was one of the most bizarre decisions i've seen in a while though.
