He was granted a release from his contract so that means no compensation I'm afraid.

Bradford will have gotten something out of the deal. If not compensation or a player swap from Salford then it'll be because we've got another signing of our own lined up and needed to free some cap space. Otherwise why should a club release a player?'"
Granted , Bradford with L'Estrange and now Diskin + an up-and-coming academy player meant you had more than enough cover for that position. as you said at very least freed up a chunk of salary cap to be used better elsewhere.
We on the other hand urgently need experienced cover in that position and Godwin provides that . |

I like Godwin, always gives 100% but would be behind L'Estrange & Diskin in the pecking order.

wagga is has honest has the days long and while he wont set the world on fire his work rate his top draw and he`s a ready made replacement for malcolm alker.
he is a top bloke off the field to boot who will do his fair share in community work and has always been approachable.

Be a shame if we have lost out on Latu, start with Godwin, then Latu to spark that play ball area up after the first 25 mins or so. I was always a little curious on Latus ability to have that impact if we had had to play him for 80 mins. That play of the ball area is so key to sparking everything I just hope that Godwins the man.
Both playing for us great, if he is gone then we still have just the one seasoned hooker starting the season which is the one area most agreed we needed to strengthen.

Both Godwin and Latu are not 80 minute hookers (there is not many 80 minute hookers left in the game). But given that to win some games by having that bit more of a spark or edge when needed Latu would prove more of a match winner than Godwin. Yes Latu is a bit of a hot head but adds a bit more power to a side when needed.

But I did see Fisher recently rip the most fearsome pack up in the league(well according to most FC fans)down the middle of the park in a recent play-off game. You may have left the match by this point though!!! |

Good Luck to Wagga he isn't a world beater but always gives 110% in every game and is one of the best technical tacklers I have seen for a while! Much better than some of the pathetic attempts we had to witness last season! All the best and he will do you no harm!
