Not a pessimist... A realist due to a lack of faith in humanity would be a more accurate assessment. So many times we've seen players go for the big $ rather than taking an option that would most probably be more rewrding in other ways. Kinda the way humanity has gone in western societies. People only value things by their monetary value... However, it would seem Dan has a bit more about him.

| Excellent news, easily our stand out player. Congrats must go to the Salford board and Dan himself to show loayality when so many others haven't.
Lots of positive news coming from the club these last few weeks its amazing what a couple of wins can do!!
Now lets get Swain, Cashmere and Henry signed up!! Got time for all 3 of them, the only change id like to say is J Smith going home and us bringing in either a fullback or Hooker.

Very doubtful. Salford offer ' Super League Contracts ' , If by some miracle Salford are not offered a 2012 Franchise place  the contract is null & void thereby making the player a free agent and not lumbering the ' relegated ' de-fanchised club with wages they cannot afford.

This guy would get in to most sides in SL... and I'm amazed he has signed a new deal... mainly because it's always just our luck that this kind of thing never happens.
Myler was always going to be a good player with bags of potential... but I rate Holdsworth higher because he's the real deal NOW... and you can still see more to come.
Seriously great news.

| So glad that I was wrong about him leaving. When the "deal on the table" line was rolled out in a similar way to when Myler was offered a new contract, I thought we would lose him.

| Thank you Salford for an amazing past 2 weeks, I believe Holdsworth could well end up being a Salford legend if he plays up to his potentially and ends up staying for a bit longer after his contracts up Great news and I hope we can get a decent crowd on Friday now, with this news discounted tickets and back to back wins and a derby, I can't see why not, lets get the shed noisy like old times, no matter what the score! |
