| Not that I'm defending the team performance, and definitely not McRae, but personally I thought Leuluai and Boyle gave us more go forward than Cashmere and Parker.
On topic, I was pleased when McRae first signed, but that image of him sat in the stands looking clueless when we lost to Hull KR just after he first took over still haunts me. It now to typifies his time in charge.
The big question for me is why do our coaches keep losing the dressing room?
Over the last 10 years the main constant is A L K E R. I keep saying it, but he does seem to think he's bigger than the club.

| To be honest I don't rate McRae. I was at Wembley in 1996 and at the end of the game thought to myself "This fella cannot believe his luck". He got a team that was just about to reach its peak and should have gone on from there as the great Wigan team was just about to go into decline and there was nobody, except Bradford about. I lost count of the number of times that season Saints got "lucky" wins. Warrington, Castleford, Halifax, London (twice) and but for Terry Matterson landing a last minute conversion at Wigan for London we would not have won the league.
However within 12 months, just after another Wembley win the wheels well and truly came off the wagon and he was exposed for what he is.
One hell of a nice fella, personality wise, however as a coach talks a good game but cannot practice what he preaches.

Despite JC's brief history with the club I would find it hard to see him coming to Salford, let's face it the club isnt exactly marketable to the calibre of coach JC is.
I can see the scenario now JC gets offered the job and makes a brief call to Houldsworth to get an unbiased oppinion and he gets informed that the crowd boo the players of the park at the end of the first home game of the season.

| Salford will be seen as a possible poison chalice to potential coaches.
A club that can't grow its fanbase, less talent on the pitch, SL Whipping boys atm, unable to tempt "big" signings, a franchise that's in serious doubt atm, fans that are quick to abuse the on and off-field staff, lack of meaningful finance, behind the scenes staff that never seem to do much right, A stadium that's always just around the corner...etc etc
You can see why world-class coaches would be begging to take the reigns if we boot SMc.
Two games into the season and half the Salford fans are shocked that we are in this position?
Anyone truly shocked needs to get a grip. Judgement should be passed at least until the SL table has calmed down after 6 or 7 games or so.

| The problem with this defeat is Crusaders at home is the best "banker" we have
It isn't that we lost a game to our nearest rivals, rather the manner of the defeat.
we have a coach who for whatever reason failed to make any tactical changes or adapt. Noble is well known for his game plan and that's what we got.
Going back to Karl isn't the answer as he lacked something in the attack tactics.
John Cartwright has a good NRL position now and I don't see why he would consider Salford (he put in for the job previously)
We needa John kerr type of coach who can do well with little money and get the team pulling the same direction.
I have to ask questions of our senior players if they are refusing to play for McRae like they ahve done under previous coaches. If you don't want to play for the club, go elsewhere. It is OUR club you are ruining

| If you battered at Leeds next weekend do you think McRae will resign?
I'm talking 70+
Leeds are fuming after losing to Wakey and will be wanting a big win before they take on Melbourne.

| YES, WITHOUT A DOUBT. ITS NOT THE FACT THAT WE LOST, ITS THE WAY WE LOST......
PLAYERS ARE NOT BEING GIVEN ANY DIRECTION................. AS GOOD AS I THINK DANIEL HOLDSWORTH IS, HE IS NOT A FORWARD, HE IS A HALF BACK, AND WE LACKED THE GO FORWARD AGAINST CRUSADERS BECAUSE SWAINY IS NOT PLAYING LOOSE, HOLDSWORTH NEEDS TO PAIR UP WITH STEPH & PUT MATTY SMITH ON THE BENCH TO ALTERNATE WITH MALC AT 9, AND McCRAE NEEDS TO GROW A PAIR AND LEAVE OUT JEREMY SMITH........................ OH AND GET JOHN KEAR.........HE SEEMS TO BE ABLE TO DO SOMETHING WITH NOTHING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
