So the 60 week build has become a 26 week build. Either they're getting some speedy builders in, or the design isn't quite the same as the original.

| Quote II.1.5) Short description of the contract or purchase(s):
3 major works packages.
a) Site remediation package including grading (cut and fill), ground stabilisation, screening and disposal of unsuitable material, imported filling, environmental / site logistical management.
b) Provision of site utilities and services including any necessary diversions.
c) Site infrastructure works including junction with Liverpool Road (A57).'"
Looks like all the pre-build will take us up to 24-9-2010
I guess the actual stadium build will take place after this work is done.

| Starts on my sisters birthday. Ends the day after mine... Odd.
Same question from me. Pre build or whole thing? Surely the whole thing would need longer but having never built a stadium, what do I know.

| That is literally just for the enabling works "package" if you will.
Basically, whichever Contractor wins the tender will be responsible for leveling the site, diverting any services necessary and putting the infrastructure in place for the roads.
Once this is completed, the site is then ready for the main men to come in and build the stadium which I would estimate at around possibly 14 months (ish).

| Just in case it hasn't sunk in with people - tendering for £8million of enabling works gives a fairly clear indication that the stadium is [udefinitely happening soon[/u.

| its been a long and winding road but finally we are on the final bend and now kicking for home, im sure with peel on board and the council i feel we have enough left in the tank to get over the line.
An equally important issue is our next franchise bid, it looks as the club is giving youth a chance which is a important aspect in the bid, also the way the club has tried to build bridges in the community and trying to tap into untouched areas of support like manchester should be celebrated.
Id hope with the dream of a new stadium now a very real reality the players who have the opportunity to pull on the red shirt now and in the near future realise at this time they have the opportunity to become something, when the stadium is built and up and running we will no longer be "little salford @ the willows where you dont have the same quality of equipment and perks in the ground compaired to
Other superleague teams"
The message should be clear a champion stadium needs a team of winners who are able to deal with the pressures of playing on the big stage week in week out.
no more small unconfortable training rooms, no more broken scoreboards, broken flood lights, no more being stuck in the back streets of weaste where you outside the club and its supporters your just another face in the crowd.
When the stadium is complete you will have world class facilities to allow you the become the player you want to be, it will propell you as well as the club into a whole new level of popularity which you need to deal with in a positive way.
The hard work starts soon as pre season should be starting soon so be ready, get fit both physically and mentally and lets all go to the next level.
