It was an open and fair exchange, morals do not come in to it. The money hasn't been destroyed, just changed hands.

I think Michigan Red is saying that in a World where people are losing their jobs and homes and others starving then it is beyond human morality to pay/waste that kind of money on an individual for entertainment purposes. I fully agree with him. While sport plays a hugely important role in many of our lives there are some things which are more important.

That's true stew but I cannot accept that the money spent in football is anything other than obscene. The people in charge of the game and the clubs should take a long hard look at themselves!!!!
