Fair point - I love the way the new flats just opposite what used to be Charlie Browns, just off the East Lancs in Swinton, are called "Worsley View" - must have a bloody good 'view' if you can see Worsley from there?!
On the other hand we have a woman at work who DOES live in Worsley, but when asked where she's from always says Walkden. When I asked her why she said "If I tell people I'm from Worsley they'll think I'm posh ... but I'm not, I'm dead common?!"  |
