| I am going to step out of the shower tomorrow to find we have regular crowds of 18,000 playing in an iconic stadium that is the envy of every SL club and the last ten years have all been a very bad dream.

| Would be very bad news for the club if he was to leave at this stage of procedings, think I'd like to see some proof rather than gossip on some crap mass media outlet though.
For me the very real issue we will have if he goes is who if anyone will we attract as a replacement? there can only be the Kears and Nobles of this world and you have to wonder if thier heart is in another SL job if both have dropped down to lower leagues by choice.
Would be entiteled to compensation if he did go as he is on a 25 month contract? maybe we could take a couple of the Manly players and look at John Hopate who appratently is a bit miffed that Des Hasler has nicked his role.

| If Parrish goes, I hope the club make a concerted push to bring in Noble.
He's not renowned for champagne rugby but commands respect has a proven record of improving every team he's coached and, moreover, is great with the media.
Just what we need IMO.
Failing that, Powell could be a good alternative.

| I dread to think who we will get in if parish is shown the door / walks
I think we are dreaming if we think its going to be an established coach, it will be a recently retired player who is cheap and won't answer back exactly what we don't need
Let's just hope this is just rumour

I to hope that all this comes to nothing and it's all malicious gossip, however I am surprised that there isn't any kind of interview on the reds website to date given that he's been back a couple of weeks.......even something along the lines of a catch-up - `Matt, what's it like to be back in training etc etc. They've got one up on the official website from the assistant coach and MP can clearly be seen in the footage - was it that much of stretch to stick a microphone in his general direction?

Ye gods we are not media friendly at all...I live (like many posters) away from the celestial city and so rely on the Monday RL press for updates.
In two weeks we have (two papers) our full-back to become a ref.
I know Featherstone's teams names, Oldham's plans and even Coventry's views on expansion.
Salford's kit, hopes, views on our Welsh scoring agin the convicts, the fact we have the fastest wingers in SL, MP's future, how we using our new assistant coach, the way we planning a move to Barton, the future of Moon in an area that sings Blue Moon, etc., etc.,etc.
Sweet Fanny Adams.
There' one team missing from every news item - and has been for so long : our latest major splash was Ratchford leaving.
Quietly giving up ... there's always Whitworth to watch.

| We do have a media and marketing team who are media and publicity shy, so what would anyone expect, it takes too long to put a press release together, too much effort to pick up the phone to a Journo, the job is ideal for somebody who couldn't careless about the club or the new ground or most importantly the fans.
So there we have it, the press officer is too busy to do their job or there would be a plethora of press releases at the local and rugby newspaper offices, or is the truth that the press just ignore them?

| You have to say that the MEN and advertisers coverage is very negative and poor imo and perhaps man power players a part in the clubs efforts

| Are you really all getting stressed about a twitter comment? Weren't we signing Michael Jennings based on a rumour on twitter...?
Stop being so f****** negative and pessimistic. We are moving to a nice new stadium, have made a couple of good NRL acqusitions and (currently) have a coach who, in my opinion, is the breath of fresh air we needed. Yet some of you are stating that he doesn't want to be here and literally has lost the dressing room, based on rumours.
I heard from my friend's dog's brother's owner's parrot that Elvis is alive.....so it must be true.....

| Got a tweet yesterday off a journo from the Sydney morning herald who said it was all pure speculation and parish had spoke to no one from Manly in regards to the job.

| Matt Parish has a contract with us.
For what it's worth I think he has the makings of an excellent coach at Salford, though I do wish he had a bit more talent at his disposal.
These message boards seem to be all doom and gloom these days, and though we all enjoy a good rumour we do need to keep them in perspective.
Overly critical messages mask the odd truth though, as I do think the club needs to be more aware of the media and feed good news stories to those of us who have the club in our hearts. As has been mentioned the only story we've had in the RL press is about Luke Patten becoming a referee, and he had denied that before it was even published in League Express. Otherwise nothing, and we should be being reminded of the new stadium until we're sick of it!!
The banner read 'In Matt we trust'. I still do.

| The current doom and gloom on here is terrible. Granted, the apathy on here is down to over a decade of underachieving, we had some success under Gregory and Harrison, but that was far too short lived. Then all the goodwork Harrison did behind the scenes was undone by McRae. If press releases are to believed, we can thank Parish for raising McRae's poor standards! If nothing else.
So here we are, a new coach brought in to do a job, Matt Parish. Was he given assurances the club hasn't delivered on, promised new players? Parish might want new players, but last season the board invested heavily in the current squad. That current squad, plus Cashmere, seriously underachieved last season. Prehaps, our new conditioner can bring some of that Wasps know how with him, and turn our players into man mountains.
The new recruits form Aus both come with good reputations, Jordan James is a good defender and should be good signing for one or two seasons. I know Boyle improved on his first season, but my main worry is why we can get more out of a real 'Steady Eddie' type player than we can Sidlow. Sidlow has far better skills and more size than Boyle, but gets exposed far too often, whetther in defence or attack. Maybe one of the coaching staff should be pointing out, if he wants another contract and to stay in the professional game, he needs to pull his finger out. Unless he wants to go and get himself a proper job. Sidlow and James, together, could be a scary looking pair of starting props.
If you wnat to cheer yourselves up, go and look on the Hull FC forum. Not that I'm taking delight at FC's troubles, but McRae is once again proving just how inept he is. Since McRae arrived they have Aspinwall, convicted for driving offences, and Seymour, a recovering alcoholic. You can blame our board for signing him to such a long contract, but at least his continuance of failing, appears, to be carrying on at Hull. Demonstrating many of our problems were down to McRae.
