| Sorry to add but a person whose information I cannot doubt in this (yes the usual foaf story, I know ... but the source is a share holder at the club) has also told me that Bailey is expected out all season and Anderson's back problem may never go away.

| Surely if this is true and he is going to be away for a month it would have been an ideal opportunity to promote Hunte and see what he can do for a month? If he does well then we should promote him to assistant coach for remainder of season (providing McRae comes back and stays) ready to take over as Head Coach from next season onwards.

Has anyone ever thought that Alan Hunte might not want to become a Head Coach with all the pressure it comes with? He's doing a very good job as Head of youth development. Isn't there a chance he might prefer to have job security?

| Of course there's a chance he wouldn't want it but you can't just guess he doesn't but if we are guessing then I would guess that the guy got in to coaching because he is ambitious and wants a Head Coach position in Super League. It may be too early for him but surely it's worth asking the question isn't it?

| Sure there is more to this than meets the eye, unless a headcoach is seriously ill (as much as I dislike SM I don't wish him ill) there is no way he will be off ill and be away to "run his ship"???
Watch this space!!!!!

| Quote Bobby Digital="Bobby Digital"I heard you sign Bailey and Anderson, without giving them a proper medical.Plus they both signed deals worth £150k a year. Not a troll i work with very passionate Salford fans.'"
the medical checks at Salford are said to be dreadful. For the last 2 years Wild at the Giants has been a creeking gate. With careful micro management he got through last season. I am told the Giants offered Wild a 1 year contract on low money as a cover player who might manage 50% of games. Not surprisingly he took a 3 year deal for more than x2 the money. Also at canterbury Patten was said to be on the physios table up til Thursday every week.
As Director of coaching Mr Simms should oversee the medical / physio / conditioning at the club. The fact that too many 'crocked' players have been signed on long term deals and then may get 2nd rate support is poor for Wilkinson, the club and the fans.

Do you really know that though? Really? It's easy to bash the club about everything you can think of but to think we sign players to multi year contracts without doing a thorough medical would mean that not only are we a poorly run rugby club but a very poorly run business. Despite our performances on the pitch I'd like to think that the board know what they're doing from a business perspective.

Must admit I had heard similar a while back, That said I would hope that a player/Clubs Insurance would cover the player should he be forced to retire whilst in contract ?

Wild has been working his socks off and putting about 40 tackles a game in. I wouldn't mind a few more crocks like him playing for Salford!
