No doubt much to Bonita Reds chagrin we need to see Longy have some influence on the attack and as we have more coaches than Shearings maybe the others can concentrate on defence.'"
Thanks for the name check !
No chagrin.
I agree with you

| Quote: Adamjk "To be fair to Mullaney, all three kicks were from the touchline and were in swirling wind. The first one looked like it was accurate enough but just didn't have enough on it. It's the attacking play that's more of a worry. Doesn't matter who's kicking if we're not scoring tries, which we've rarely looked like doing in all but one game so far this season.'"
Mullaney is an average kicker at best and will cost us some closer games this year. As for the touch line and the wind, my money would have been on Danny Tickle nailing two of the three.
Point taken on the tries but bring in 14 new players and to spend hundreds of thousands of pounds extra and not bring in a proper goal kicker is beyond comprehension and it's indefensible. A top goal kicker should have been one of the highest priorities.

Is he allowed to play against us next weekend? You'd certainly hope that we have loaned him out with a caviat that he isn't.

| None of you can see the woods for the trees.
It ain't the fault of the coach and it ain't the fault of the players.
Its the fault of not having a youth structure like the big established clubs have.
This youth depth didn't come over night. ..its took years of scouting and nurturing.
Salford haven't a chance of reaching heights like that until a youth structure matures and that will take 3 seasons at the minimum and realistically 5 seasons or more.
Salford are already playing loaners....that's all the evidence you need to see that the depth of youth structure isn't there.
Warrington was always going to beat Salford, all that was needed was to look at the injury casualties and then look at the strength of the bench.
To keep the scores under 20 point spread was a good result IMO.
Warrington to 40 years to get back up to the heights of supremacy.
I have real surprise the expectations of Salford doing it in 4 games!?

| he's available next week.... not worried are ya
I've never been a fan of Noble since he packed in with GB - his methods seem a little outdated these days. I think it's early days still and success doesn't just happen, you might need to wait 2/3 years before you see any real progression.
Hearing things from Clarke like "Salford will win the league" just doesn't help IMO. It delludes any casual fans and puts the team under pressure from the get-go.
I'm sure you Saflord fans realise that top 8 is the aim this year, and it's about gradually improving from then on

I don't buy that, our academy have been right up there in recent years with several youth internationals. Furthermore in the past when the decent youngsters break through the vultures have just come along and taken them.
To say recent results has nothing to do the coaches or players and to pin all the blame on the youth policy is absolutely ridiculous. And what about Marc Sneyd? We bring through a great young player and we loan him to Cas!! And let's not forget Jon Ford our England International academy centre on loan at Sheffield. And what about Evalds? Played 2 games last year and scored tries and we haven't played him since.

Hasn't been around the club long enough to get on the end of our signature move (half back crabs along the field and then pops the ball back inside to a fairly stationary forward who then trundles straight into a gang tackle), but on the limited opportunities he had, he did really well. Two tries from, what, five? carries and a couple of useful tackles.

As history proves a good bunch of kids often come in waves. Two years ago we were beating most bigger clubs comfortably.

Ken Gill could make the ball talk.: |
|
| It looked, for all the world, as if Shaun McRae was back in charge last night. Five drives and a kick - usually a poor one.
Things can only get better - can't they?

I think you have missed a rather major event where we went into financial meltdown with the academy side broken up and then demoted by the RFL to the 2nd tier. The ones that remain either rarely feature or have inexplicably been loaned out because now we've got money it seems we must be seen to go after any big name that becomes available, regardless of how many players we already have in their position.

| If we have spent the salary cap on this lot, someone wants sacking. It must be costing a fortune on bandages. Tasi is no better than Lee Jewitt, and sau is no better than Gibson. And the two we got from Saints are past it, we will be lucky to finish in the top eight at this rate.

| Tasi haha did you ever see him play for the Roosters or Brisbane, its difficult to make yards when no one else wants the ball.
I agree with Sau though.
