| Quote: OFFTHECUFF "Listening to Wilkin on the Superleague show he said the score did not reflect the Salford performance , and was a hard physical game. I feel this will be a close and competitive game, as Saints really just took their chances and kicked the goals too. Anyway i hope you bring a decent following because it is like a local derby now in my eyes. So how many tickets have you sold and are a few travelling? Be nice to have a good away following to create a atmosphere.
Salford fans are peaking and despite last week’s set back there's still a feel good factor about the place and how far we've come so I'd be disappointed if there's not at least 6/700 there.

| Anyone who watched the game would understand the scoreline flattered Saints, they are nowhere near 38-0 better than us. Dont get me wrong they were far superior, but we wasnt far away. The last 20 minutes when the heads had dropped were what embarrased the scoreline.
Anyway... According to the Widnes forum, we've only sold 82 tickets for tonights game. See below quote.
Quote: record "I am sure the advance sales relate to widnes fans.
Isn't it great how the mighty salford with there 7000 plus fans only sell 80-100 tickets, when we taken 1500 approx to their place. Makes me laugh that when they have to buy their own tickets they don't follow, this now convinces me more that figures at salford are exaggerated or tickets given away, as what I seen on camera against saints was not 7000 fans, maybe 7000 tickets were given away and people still didn't turn up '"
1. 7,000 fans they refer to (7,102 actually) included around 850 from Wakefield.
2. There wasnt 7,000 vs Saints, there was 6,300 with around 1,400 from Saints.
3. Why would we exagerate crowd figures?
4. We dont give away any free tickets.
5. When have Widnes ever brought 1,500 to the AJ Bell?
Some deluded scousers over there.
FWIW - I think we'll take 750 ish tonight and a guarntee they'll out sing Widnes "record" pre ticket sale crowd.

Was just reading that myself!
I hope to god the Widnes club aren't expecting 100 fans to turn up and only have a turnstile open!!
As a group of fans we tend to just rock up to games without tickets and now the stadium is miles away for most people they just won't bother. I agree we'll take around the 700 mark tonoight.
FWIW - I must be one of them 82!!!

| Maybe more would pre-buy from Salford if it was better publicised and less laborious. It took me about 10- minutes to get my ticket after the game last Thursday, and there were only 2 people in the queue ahead of me. In the past I've been passed from reception, to club shop to ticket office and back again to get away tickets, and then had to go through the rigmarole of giving my name, address while they click through some computer system and end up giving me a pre-printed ticket anyway.

Judging by a Widnes fan at work, not peaking as much as them!

| Widnes fans have become obsessed with Salford since the Koukash takeover, as shown with their record ticket sales. Could be a good night for the Salford bingo.

Just out of interest, how many fans did we bring last year ? I was there and apart from the fringes, that stand looked pretty full.
I'm not bothered how many Salford being tonight. Haven't really brought that many in past years really but if you do have a growing fan base and do bring more, all the best I hope you do

About the same as Wakefield brought on the opening game, circa 850. That stand holds more than double that.

Got photos of that night actually on my phone, from the Gareth Hock conversion, and the stand was at least 3/4 full for what it matters which is 1200+
How do yous fancy your chances tonight ? I'm expecting a very very close game

| To be honest I thought your brought around similar numbere as saints did last week, which I wasn't expecting and was impressive
Tonight, I think we'll get beat fairly comfortably. I really hope I am wrong, we didnt create much if anything and were poor around the ruck. Fingers crossed for an improved performance

| Salford are a very poor side.
When sky say you've being outstanding yet you lose to widnes.
I shouldn't laugh.

| Think the Doctor may be apologizing again tonight !!
Good Grief...after all he's expecting a top 4 finish.
Yes I know no Chase or Hock, but still - 18-32 at Widnes.

The clock is ticking now before he walks away and blames the RFL and other super league teams for not backing him in his pro-Salford rules he wants bringing in.
Tick tock, tick tock, tick tock

| The ref Silverwood gave Salford sod all, especially in the first half when it could have made a big difference.
I am neutral and had no leanings either way, but if I had been a Salford fan I would have felt badly done to.
