WHAT???????? The horse has already bolted fella! Do they not have modern day facilities in Wythenshawe? Does sky television/the BBC/the M.E.N. and other media sources not infiltrate Wythenshawe? As they say you can't flog a dead donkey and as I've just mentioned to a mate of mine on here - Salford have tried everything to attract supporters apart from winning something in the last 30+ years. A new stadium may have helped increase support as the owners were relying on without a marketing explosion, have they now missed the boat? Probably?

Salford had a start on where they could attract new fans from well before moving to the new stadium, get my drift!

One plus, as against a football team sharing, is that the stadium would be segregated and Salford fans would be treated like football fans by the stewards. At the moment I find the Stewards are very good and friendly
It just could work very well with Rugby all the year round, we might just win over some Sale Sharks sponsors and fans when they see a far more superior game

I just give up,i really do despair,a sport that has been trying to kill our game since its inception as just moved in with us,and you think it could work very well.

Despite having all the media and press - 100k attendances at club games held at Wembley - Annual multi-international tournaments - a huge spend on school programmes etc.

Stockport County had huge problems before Kennedy got involved.It is a completely different scenario.

I hope there's some sort of anti-union/anti-sale thingy bob in line for the Hull KR game from the fans, it really has been a grim day I can't see anything positive to come out of it...we waited so long for this new stadium and then the enemy move in easy as that, it really is a joke. I think quite a few of you are over-estimating Sale Sharks and in particular Diamond. He's a loud mouth who has already alienated some of the club's core support. Sale are bleeding money and despite spending millions upon millions on publicity and marketing, they're crowds still aren't enough to stop them making losses. They don't just rely on Brian Kennedy, they wouldn't exist without him. A bit of positivity and who knows, maybe a few of the inquisitives may take in a Salford game and, well we all know which is the superior code.

Think what some fail to grasp is the reality that the owners of a property are maximising thier income from it. Show me a business that wouldn't do the same and I'll show you someone in need of special care or a sugar Daddy.

Salford now have to make sure they make the right choices at the right time rather than after the horse has bolted. Do things properlly and I'm convinced that the club can make positive strides.

It is well known on here I have an affiliation to RU at an international level due to having Welsh heritage, what I fail to see is why people are worried when club RU doesn't even come close to matching wekk in week out RL, the brand of rugby we are playing this year should be a selling point in it's own right.

Sale though have already got the star name in place by signing Danny Ciprianni for next season and I wouldn't be the slightest bit surprised if they didn't go after Henson and try to get even more headlines when they kick off at a new stadium. Maybe Salford need to take a page from that book and rustle up the funding to make a marque signing for next season - maybe a joint purchase of Henson as despite what some think he would definately grab us some headlines - though some might not be for the right reasons.

Sale signing Henson would be great news for Salford. The man's a walking headline and with Cipriani in the vicinity it would be a lot more entertaining than the fayre served up on-field.

It seems to me he hasn't done the equivalent damage to what has occurred at Bradford,Wakefield,and Crusaders,(both Bridgend and Wrexham).The rich guy Davy,at Huddersfield has just had his head coach do a pretty good impersonation of a politician with his flip flopping and going to Saints who have a new stadium at the same time as us.Huddersfield struggle for crowds despite the popularity of the owner.
Hull KR have well-documented problems and are playing home games at the KC Stadium and Castleford are still waiting for signs of progress on and off the field.Hull are now charging away fans much more than home fans and they are charging soccer scouts the cost of a seat,after scouts were always allowed free entry.
Leeds share with a union side and cannot improve their stadium due to lack of funds.
Warrington despite their wealth seem to lack any on-field progression at the moment despite their recent cup success.

Overall,and in contrast with other clubs,given the low attendances at a crumbling stadium which cost a lot for renovation,his record stands admirably high to a lot of people.

It does seem some of the ones who are imagining dark deeds ahead are those who want the board removing.
