I'm glad you said that - I thought I was privileged to watch him, even if he was towards the end of his career - class player

My best memory of him was at Wilderspool, I was stood behind the dugout - a Wire fan was giving Hancock some stick trying to look hard, Hancock came to the touchline, pointed at the guy and in a broad Aussie accent said "you mate, outside, afterwards" - the guy never said a word for the rest of the game.

Have to add my weight to the 'Hancock was class' cause. Sure, it would have been great to get him 5 years sooner, but he clearly still had it upstairs. Remember him turning a full back inside out and managing to go over from about 60 metres out. Took him about 10 minutes to walk back for the restart, mind...

Are we talking about the Michael Hancock who represented Queensland 14 times and was a 13 time Kangaroo ?

The person who rubbished him clearly has been on happy hour all day, Michael Hancock was quality and I for one was privileged to watch him in a Salford City Reds shirt.

Yes he came at the end of his career but after winning FIVE NRL grand finals with the Broncos and held the Broncos club record for most career tries with a mere 120. eusa_eh.gif
