If the transfer happens I think Cas fans will owe the good doctor a huge debt of gratitude. Had Chase gone to St George a few months ago they would have received pittance for him and not had him for the remainder of this year. It's a win win for them.

I've heard Hull have agreed a fee with cas for chase. Maybe the holdsworth to Salford rumours have some substance

If you read my post above it clearly states:

"The money that we *owe* is to our owner, Jack Fulton, who has loaned us money".

However, Jack Fulton is a Cas fan, Shareholder, Chairman. He is unlikely to call in his own loan as he knows that whilst he'd lose his money, Cas would lose everything.

Comparing previous transfer fees is pointless. Each situation is totally different. When Wigan signed Fielden they were desperate, they were on course for relegation and had no choice. Bradford also didnt need to sell and held out. You cannot use that as an example.

The difference here is we're not desperate, whereas Cas are. They need the money and they need Chase off the wage bill (regardless of the smoke screen comments about wanting him to sell).

That's a new one, got to be honest can see some fans giving him a terrible time if he comes back as he seemed to take his eye off the ball badly before he left. To be fair he's a very good player who showed loyalty when he signed his first contract extention, but there are better options than him.

As for the rest of the silliness, let's stop bickering over stuff most of us know little about. We've been in Cas's boat (and worse) and understand the fans' frustration. What will be, will be.

Going off a quick look at biggunbrad's posting history, almost all of the posts have been on our board or on topics about us on other boards. The account's been set up exclusively for trolling by the looks. Wouldn't surprise me if it's the second account of someone who already has an account on RLFans.

One that had been labelled as "well run" for years and didn't splash the cash on transfers and salaries, and paid its way whilst other clubs went into admin leaving a trail of unpaid debt...
