Thank you, Malc: |

'Homesick' will always be a good lad in my eyes. He beat the living out of Matt Schultz at The Willows, bought me a couple of drinks in Sydney and comes across as a decent bloke. Although irrelevant, he has hands like Pat Jennings (I bumped into him in a civic amenity site) - bloody huge.
I have never held it against anyone wanting to leave Salford as, let's face it, we have been a circus for many years.

| Typical scouser Saints fans trying to nick one of ours when Salford are down and people are kicking, HMRC only spotted the tax owed after the winding up order was issued.

Bigpev, please don't be so naive. HMRC don't spot tax that is owed, it is told to them by the taxpayer either via monthly PAYE returns or the annual corporation tax return in the case of companies ( Self Assessment returns for individuals) in the abscence they will then raise estimated liabilities.

Ken Gill could make the ball talk.: |
|
| Sky Text quotes Phil Veivers as saying that Joel Moon is definitely with us next season.
He also says that he is waiting for the paperwork for five new signings he has lined up.
At last, some encouraging news.

| In the MEN it was reported Vievers has spoken to Scott Prince. Is he having a laugh at this clubs face? Prince has been outstanding in the NRL for a long time and having the choice between staying at Gold Coast or Hull, embarrassing to report we showing serious intentions.

| Scott Prince.
32 year old looking for a last big pay cheque
His best days were at Wests when they won the GF but now he is no were near the player he was.
May well shine over here, but do you think he is worth the risk ?
Will be interesting to see how DH and him fit together.
Looks like Hull are trying to buy their way to the GF aka Warrington and we all know how that went

| Says in the MEN that Joel turned down an offer from Leeds and so stays with us for next year.
Be interesting to see what the doom sayers say to that...

You'd hope that if he stays fit that he and Jodie will be very productive as they have the potential to be as destructive a wing/centre partnership as we've had in years.
Oddly the doom mongers seem to have been rather quiet, possibly busy setting up meets of their new Vievers out campaign.

The Moon/JB partnership has the potential to destroy teams down that left flank and we just need to find a right centre to supply Danny Williams and we'll have a pretty dynamic back line. Now if what I've heard this morning is true then we are on the verge of replacing Gleeson with someone who is very much a household name. I've also been given the names of the 2 Wigan loanees why are a FB and SH respectively.

You mean the names mentioned here?

Would much prefer someone like Dudson and unless we are playing Moon in the halves see no real point in getting Gleeson in with the potential he brings in for stupidity.

As much as I appreciate that Holdsworth, S Gleeson, Patten and Smith need replacing, all the players mentioned in the Manchester Evening News are backs. Considering Anderson, Feka and Adamson have gone I'd be more interested in knowing what forwards we are potentially being linked with. For me I think we have lacked real go forward for some time now and I'd love us to sign a couple of big hard running props to rotate with Jewitt and McPherson.
Morley, Crabtree and Westwood to replace Adamson would do the job.

Yeah wasn't aware of the MEN piece but all names are correct. A lad in work is good mates with one of our players and heard it via him. I'm a bit dubious about the Gleeson signing although as we're skint it makes obvious financial sense to sign a player who can wear the exact same shirt of the guy he is replacing. I'm a bit worried we'll be rolling out Reg Holdsworth in the no6 shirt this season tho!
