If we looking for a front row, surely it would be worth while to try and get Morley for a year? Think this would be a coup as Morley is still pretty much a name around Salford.
Looking at the OOC players viewtopic.php?f=2&t=522888&start=40 there seems to be a fair few decent players up for grabs. If it's youth we after could we tempt Ambler, Turner back? Personally I'd like to see Clough and Dixon from Saints. Mike Mc from Wigan is a good hooker maybe Fielden? If it we me I'd be talking to the agents early to see if we can beat some club to the signatures to players.

| Quote: middleman "Danny Tickle is not an average 2nd Rower not by a long chalk. I think everyone understands Adamson is not our best 2nd Row Ashurst is .
He's Hull's primary kicker and consequently has greater game time despite having played 1 less . other than that there's not that much difference , Adamson might point out that Tickle ended up on the losing side when he played against him
I don't normally refer to stats but somehow you can't always get through to some people.
Adamson is not our best second row, far from it. His attack is well below par.
And i can't believe your comment saying "Other than that there's not that much difference in their games. Excuse Me.
Adamson 77 carries, making 450 metres, 2 busts in 8 appearances.
Tickle 108 carries, making 608 metres, 16 busts in 7 appearances.
Can you see the difference now. Hardly the same is it......

Now that's an interesting question, calculator always at the ready and I see that Mr Tickle does 5.6 metres per carry and Mr Adamson 5.8
Over to you Mr Inferno!

| What would Adamson's figures look like if he didn't pick up the knock on to go 40/50 meters in the build up to Gibson's try?

| The fact is DI doesn't like Adamson.
Whether he turns into a world beating forward or not would not make any difference. It's not a valid argument to say a player is rubbish just because of personal dislike. From my point of view, he is not a world beater, but he makes up in the areas he lacks with hard work. These things balance out. Considering we are definately more beggars than choosers having a go at a young lad achieves nothing. If we'd have had the pick of RL players and a SL Grand Final win under our belt I'd be more critical. The fact is we are a team mid to lower table and we work with what we can afford. (Are you listening Bradford )

It's not a personal dislike, it's an observation of many games scratching my head trying to adjudicate his abilities. Call me old fashioned but a Second row's game IMO should be having more of an impact and stamping more authority on the field to which i find Adamson is fading with especially with the ball in hand only averaging of 9 carries per game. 1 drive every 8.5 minutes. Or 1 drive every 4th set of 6.
Like i said, i'm not usually a stat man, and my scrutinies were confirmed with these figures. they're poor attacking stats. I except he's a young lad and possibly not had the best coaching around him, so maybe SCR have failed him, in his progression.

| Fair comment.
Maybe Adamson would benefit from a big seasoned Forward to help spur his game on? On a personal note, forwards tend to improve with age, barring any injury and I feel that there is a lot to come from him. It might not happen with Salford, it might not happen straight away, but there is flashes of the player he could be emerging atm.

Quoting statistics 'by match' is a bit misleading. You need to get the figures 'by minute' to allow for the fact that he's started from the bench in a number of games this season. The same goes for the comparison with Danny Tickle.

| I think Adamson is one of the players who suffered most with his development in McCrae's tenure. He looked like a quality prospect three or so years ago and capable in attack, then just seemed to take a massive step backwards over the last couple of years. Hopefully, he improves under the new regime anyway.

Forwards do improve with age, But whatever happened too one on one coaching. I know back in the Tamati, Gregory days this wasn't evident. Basically you had Props carrying out the same drills as wingers this doesn't sound right to me. surely common sense must provail coaches should be detecting then addressing your flaws week by week.

Non one on one , two on one it seems.
Quote: Dantes Inferno "Veivers and Sean Long have recharged Adamson’s batteries, however.
“Phil and Sean have been working hard with me on the offensive side of my game,” said Luke. “I appreciate this – we don’t have the biggest of packs so the key is to try and move our opponents around – wearing them down as we did against Bradford last week. We’re
certainly fit and athletic.

| Dantes,
What was your view of his performance from the corporate seats ?
I may be the only one but I thought he was terrific and wished he had been on the field from the start.
If someone could put his statistics for Friday night on here,I would be grateful.
