Quote: Jaymc9 "Thornley had a decent game early in the season at saints and he's not played in the 1st team since has he? Mcrae does make some strange decisions sometimes! Same with Sidlow, plays well 2 or 3 games on the bounce, then is left out for a month or so.'"

Thats our fantastic coach for you.
Do you think he will drop Smith for causing a penalty which ultimately cost us a possible point ?
He has his favourites, plays players out of position, and only has a plan A .
Apart from that he is fine icon_wink.gif

Quote: number 6 "bit of karma tonight, didn't see anything wrong with your disallowed try, but after being gifted a try from ian smith in the cup game, kind of levels it out!
Yeah but we could say when Raynor dropped the ball in 2006 for the winning try at the willows makes it 2-1.

I had it on the radio and would like to see the penalty count. I was fumin when Wilshere kicked on the 2nd tackle considering Hulls defence seemed abit dodgy.

I'm getting to a stage now where I'm really fed up of referees decisions costing us, if you look back at this seasons fixtures wheve been on the end of some awful calls. I know people will think I'm just moaning about referees but every Salford fan who watches us every week will know what I'm talking about. It seems to happen more at the bigger stadiums for some reason.

It is funny how many fans decide they are level with an incident to try and back up their argument icon_lol.gif

You didn't see the Stanley Gene try last week then. Refs make mistakes even with tv replays its always been the case and always will be.

If your team had tried to play instead of trying to slow us down at the Play of the ball( which you ddint need to do as we are slow anyway) you would have won the game.'"

That makes a nice change as far as I'm concerned, normally we let teams get up and play the ball as quick as they like and allow opponents to slow us right down. Maybe McCrae has also noticed this and we've tried to sort the problem, sounds like it may need some more work though

I'm sorry but despite the incompetance of the majority of ref's in our game you can't blame them for a single one of our loses. It's the 17 men in the team who are responsible for that.
Oh and the coach, his assistants, the physio, JW, Gordon Brown, Hazel Blears and Ignito icon_wink.gif

Same with Hull early in the season, we now seemed to have gone back to holding down for too long and giving away stupid penalties, like you we need to find the medium, Leeds and Saints are masters on this.

The is no point in banging on about referees making bad decitions, doesnt change anything and the referee protectors will defend them.
It was a poor dection against Salfod again but Salford didnt help themselves by turning the ball over TWICE (rachford not making tough and knocking on in the tackle?) just before half time to allow Hull to score the crutial try.

Thats what cost us the game. mental strength and being switched on 100% of the time is what salford need to improve on.

I had a good view and my first reaction was that it was a TRY, to be honest there was no other reaction I don't know what the ref saw.

And it was the ref's decision, not the touch judge's (who was as surprised as most people with the decision!)

so in all that game u picked up on them 2 points what about swain dropping the ball 3 times and also jeremy smith giving a penalty away when he had the ball"which tickle kicked 2 give them a 14-12 lead "which i think is the crucial point

Whilst it is true that sometimes referees decisions are not the sole reason for us losing I feel that as paying customers of the game we have a right to complain when someone does their job as badly as we have seen referees do theirs at times over the years, especially when ultimately (whatever mistakes we make during the course of the game) it costs us two points which on this occasion it did.
