| Of course, but £150 grand in the scheme of what's needed to turn the club round is small beer - let's just hop that what Martyn Saddler has heard is true and comes to fruition quickly.

953.jpg 2015 - major missed opportunity, 2016 - stronger teams = harder task (no problem there then), 2017 - OMG What now!!!:953.jpg |

| Like many people on here you should wait till the ink is dry. Journalists have been talking about good news re investment for the last couple of months.
If you were an investor would you buy a club and straight away pay out 150k, when you could let the club go into admin and pay none of the debts ala bradford. Not wishing that on you but I'm sure you can see my point. Lets hope they can pay the players this week as that was also reported as a possible problem

| If you let it go into administration, then want to bring it out as the same entity then you have to get the creditors agreement - usually by paying them though not necessarily all that they are owed. Only by letting it go into insolvency then starting again as a new company in total can you lose the debts for sure.
I'm sure that part of the deal for any investor to come in is to put enough money in to cover the current debts as well as providing working capital for going forward.
I could easily be proved wrong though - just hope not!!
ps agree with your comment re journalists, perhaps a better title for this thread would have been Breaking Rumour!

| My Post on the Cubs Offical Facebook ;So then , the next 7 days could prove crucial , What I can say with conviction is that anybody whom wants to support the club financially can do so via Forever Reds, It is really easy and simple to join, the more people that join and donate the greater it will become, and allow the supporters to have a respectable voice. It's clear that on here the majority of us are passionate about The Salford City Reds , It has been truly embarrassing to witness what has happened to this once great club. But with the Correct owners and the desire to change the way we have gone about things Salford City Reds could be a real positive attribute not only to the SuperLeague but to the people of Salford.
We need to start by Rebranding , Bring back the Red Devil, Embrace our Heritage, communicate effectively with the supporters, Fix the problems that may appear small such as Retail and Marketing.
Offer the supporters the chance to play their part, not just on a Match day but everyday. Advertise Players sponsorship ,who knows one of us may have enough money to sponsor a. Player and cement a positive relationship with the lads.
No more false promises or grandiose statements , there is no reason to go overboard, be methodical in your business plan. Employee People with the skills, desire and Passion . Every single person needs to know that the Gravy train has terminated .
Every single person wearing that club badge should feel privileged to do so
Make sure others believe in the future ambitions . For too long Salford RLFC has been the poor relation, The mind set of the Club and the supporters has always been one of a losing mentality. We deserve the best and we should strive to project a Positive,Professional and Vibrant Image. It's now or never, for all the promises of Junior Devils and Innovative thinking its time these promises were put into action. There are 7000 "supporters" on this website, ask yourself why are these people not attending the matches and purchasing merchandise? , Because up to know the service from the club has been unacceptable. We will embrace the potential New Owners with positivity because we have had enough , enough of the Lies, enough of the back stabbing, enough of the disrespect and Mediocre Management.
There are many Talented individuals whom could support the club with rebuilding our reputation.
I can categorically state that Personally I have taken NO enjoyment from Writing Blogs and articles attacking the club, It has saddened me, But sometimes you have to take your head out of the Sand and look at things without your rosé tinted glasses on.
John Wilkinson and Howard Clague. I thank you for effectively keeping this club alive, without you I wouldn't have a club to support, I wouldn't of forged the friendships I have formed, I wouldn't be the person I have become, You have allowed me to feel part of a family, a rather dysfunctional ,sometimes Crazy family BUT I'm in it for life!
By Working and Sticking Together We can Put the Pride back into The Name Salford City Reds. ...

Think you'll find Adam Pearson had to pay the HMRC quite a lot of funny to settle an outstanding debt when he bought Hull FC.

| but that won't happen again after the Bradford precedent. Let the club fold then new money to start afresh - no assetts to lose and potential a strangling contract on the ground to renegotiate for newco.

Though a newco would not be assured of a superleague licence and would be scored down next time (if they bother with licensing again).

| A stand out signing could be either a brilliant signing or Ian Watson as the on field general we need.

10288_1295007720.jpg He was shot in both arms , and both legs. He later died because of his injuries. Tommy 25th March 2007.
Salford City Reds are the National League Champions again and nobody will ever win a Grand Final more dramatically than this. Division One champions, Grand Final winners, winners of the Northern Rail Cup; everything their hearts desired. Down and out? Not a bit of it, they are never out. Memories are made of this forever and a day, Salford fans will ask "where did you watch the 2008 Grand Final? Where did you see John Wilshere save the day with the last kick of the ball?":d7dc4b20b2c2dd7b76ac6eac29d5604e_10288.jpg |

He says as far as he knows a deal is agreed but will take a couple of days to iron things out.
Just read he also concedes the deal could also go tits up so its a case of fingers crossed I think
