| Quote: Karlos13 "Pretty sure that they are contracted to Edgeley Park til the end of the current RU season anyway, so won't be moving to Barton til September. Meaning we have basically one full RL season to get it right before Sale move in and start stealing our thunder.'"
Season Tickets & Hospitalilty packages have been sold for Sale at Edgeley Park for the 2011/12 season.
so they will be talking 2012/13 Season .Dining packages at Edgeley Park are limited to say the least
no pitchside view and one side of their ground is uncovered.
They'll need to make to most of the 12 Hospitality Boxes & Dining Facilities available at Barton to offset the rent as 2nd occupier .
I had a look round the site on Saturday and the blocks of Red/Blue seats are now in on the Main Stand, but it's looks the part no matter what he colour .

| I went to a Neighbourhood Meeting tonight in Cadishead, two guys from the new stadium did a presentation .
Main points that are probably relevent to here are. .
Slotted between the Leigh & Wigan games is to be a cross code game with Sale.
!st Super League game to be 3rd Feb
Traffic concerns raised ,
Stadium company negotiating with Makro , Barton Airport and other local sites for overflow parking.
Community was dropped to make the name of the ground sound more snappy.
Parking exclusions for match traffic being looked at.
Shuttle bus from to and from the Trafford Centre being looked at
Prices for function rooms , pitches etc to be announced soon
No concerns from residents apart from traffic issues.
The guy giving the presentation would`nt budge on Sale ground sharing , saying there were 14 league games at the stadium at the moment.
Make of that what you will ladies and gents.

I'm torn between two thoughts on this. On one side, they can stick it up their s, on the other, we can use it as an opportunity to , ahem, "voice" objections. Wonder if it will be like that Saints v Sale debacle where they played half the game under each set of rules, or whether it would be a hybrid. I have no desire to watch union so either half a game in the bar, or half the game shouting "Boring Boring union", or, more likely, the whole game at home.
I do wonder who thought that this would be a good idea. Does this mean that the stadium management people really have no clue?

As Union are slowly making their game more and more like ours. It'll probs end up a game of league

| Might they have just said cross code match to sound all exciting, seen as Wigan and Sarries have announced it, but don't really have any intention of doing it?
With the Parish debacle I can't imagine Salford being keen on not only getting a new coach, getting the team ready for the new season and moving into a new stadium, but then on top of that teaching their players how to play a completely different sport.
Similarly, I can't imagine Sale being interested. They'll be well into their packed season with the Six Nations and then the business end of the season approaching.

Wigan and Bath did the same at maine road after we had finished Wigan's cup run, it was played half rugby league and Wigan ran away with the points, second half yawnian rules and Bath nearly caught them, boring as , glad I was paid to be there.

No, there were two games played that year. I went to the game at Maine Road and it was all RL and Wigan won about 82-6. The Union game was at Twickenham and Wigan lost about 41-19, scoring two of the best tries ever scored at Twickers in the process.

| What good would it do us publicity wise when the smallest pack we've had in years gets mauled all over the field by a weakened Sharks side???? It will just make us look like the weaker side in a joint held stadium and enforce Sale's team as being the main team at the new stadium.
