| In four years time when Marc's contract ends, he may well be the finished article and return to us, on a bigger contract, when we need to replace Dobson, Chase. We let Hull polish him up for us.
Unless of course we are going to sign an exciting young young half back in the direction of Leigh

| Anybody who thinks £100k for Sneyd is good business is deluding themselves. Your owners an extremely rich man, I'm sure £100k is pocket change to him and he'd rather have had Sneyd at the club.

Let's look at the facts:
1. Sneyd requested a transfer.
2. He had 12 months left on his contract.
3. Salford already have two HB's ahead of him for the 2015 Squad.
4. Why have a player that wants away in your squad?
Seems to me that £100k is extremely good business from Salford's perspective, and if he comes good for Hull, good business for them too. Please refrain from assaulting your keyboard before thinking it through in future.

A £100k for a kid with 12 months left on his contract isnt good business? Hull have had their pants down. The only way this will turn out to be good business for FC is for Sneyd to go on and have 5 or 6 excellent seasons. With your recent history and success in big money signings I just cant see it.
Hopefully he does better than Daniel Holdsworth.

Come on you know how the games played, "I want to keep this player" = more money
As its been said our chairman is a very astute business man.
For what its worth I am happy the Cas fans got what the wanted and the #FreeMarcSnayed campaign worked.
I am also glad they got what they deserved and Marc when to a club that offered a fee and tbf have acted in dignity (unlike the other lot) regarding this process

| Irrespective of how much our owner is worth, 100k represents a good piece of business for Salford.
I'm not sure of your logic here 1865. The wealth of Marwan Koukash doesn't determine the market value of Super League's best players, especially if other clubs aren't in such a healthy financial position.

He did yes. Behind Chase and Dobson and even possibly Fages. As for chances, well he did have plenty in the couple of seasons he played and he played pretty well in a poor side. I guess the reason why he extended his contract last year was because of those 'lack of chances'?
It's fine that you don't like MK. It's fine if you don't like Salford. You're better off just saying that rather than inventing poorly thought out digs and dressing them up as a valid point.

I'm saying that Koukash would rather have kept him than sold him for his market value, just as other clubs will put premiums on fees when Salford come knocking for a contracted player, you don't need a fee for re-investment, do you?

Calling people deluded.
Even though a few have pointed out with facts why it wasn't a deluded thing to sell Sneyd. Which you've ignored in favour of responses like the one above. It's fine that you've got your point of view. Believing it and it actually being true are two separate things.

| The Doc saw Hull FC coming- 100k is way above the transfer fee for a much more seasoned player than Sneyd with a year left. Certainly Dobson and Chase and possibly Fages in front of him. The Doc has been given a massive payout for a player that would have warmed the bench at most for most of next season. FC have been had even if Sneyd turns into the full article. Chase was England half back, former MOS and a proven match winner. Sneyd could in time match that but hes had half a good season - he could equally just turn into the next Greg Eden.

Name your top 5 number 7's currently playing in Superleague and back it up with some stats.
Then come back and tell us we've had our pants down.

| as a tigers fan who has been consistently embarrassed by dim fans of my club all season, this deal really has worked out for both clubs IMO. Marc didn't seem keen to stay at Cas, he was keen for regular rugby, and hull finally have their kicking game sorted. on the other hand, Salford have pulled off a blinder offloading an unhappy, untested player for that amount of money. both chairmen must be very happy bunnies.
