| Quote: DirkDiggler "Person who also told me about the dressing room incident just after the KR game, said Rangi had submit a transfer request.
After the comments of him talking to a fans at last weeks game about how the club treat people this rings very true.
I think Marwan really needs to take a step back, heed Brian Macs comments and readdress the way he is running our great club.
With all the speculation, rumours and players / staff talking for the life of me I cannot see anyone wanting to join our club, unless money driven.
Unfortunately I fear the damage is done and it will take a very long time to recover from the past 3 years, especially while Marwans so involved.'"
I think that is part of the problem with some of your current squad. Certainly doesn't seem much resolve/pride based on last nights result and many players leaving mid season also suggests lack of real enthusiasm for Salford.

I thought that he was a GP from St Helens.
Tim Sheens on Radio Manchester this Thursday thought that it is a good thing that people are keeping RL in the news...I think in your owners case you definitely can have too much of a good thing. However, I don't think that it's McDermott's position to comment
I appreciate that there is still a lot of rugby to play and it's a points restart, but, another loss before the middle 8's and there will be a hell of a lot of pressure form and momentum wise what you don't want is ranting and raving

| Correct Rico, as much as what McDermott said may be true, what the f has it got to do with him. No need to say it certainly not in the direct aftermath of the game.
It felt like last night was players making a point, which is worrying. We have to beat widnes next week, as it stands I'm not confident we'll beat wakey, leigh or bradford

Aye, [iright.[/i "Hi is that Euromatech? Yeah, I'd like to book a course on not paying the bills and getting my staff to openly revolt. Is that something you do? Smashing."
The really bloody tragic thing about all this is that if you genuinely are a rugby league fanatic with a bottomless money pit the route to success isn't rocket science. Have a bit of patience, take time to put the right people in at the top*, sign the cheques, stay out of the changing room. Instead we've got a duffer from the council in on a dodgy deal and an owner who tarts about on social media like a hormonal One Direction fan. Does anyone still think this is going to end well?
*Yep, I know that's the difficult bit.

As somebody said on Twitter we did really well to come back against HKR last week so what's changed in a week ?'"
Maybe he needs to attend one of his own management courses then, as he clearly has no idea whatsoever what it takes to be a leader or a man-manager.

I think you've just described Paul Caddick and Simon Moran.
While we are still patiently waiting for a grand final we have still had some considerable success. But that said both clubs were in a financial mess and close to relegation when those owners stepped up.....
Mcdermot has never said anything controversial that I can ever remember he has that Tony smith "I'm going to try and say as little as possible" about him.....so when that happened maybe its just the tip of the iceberg for koukash.
Shaun Wane next......??

| Koukash had some decent ideas, and made all the right noises when he first got involved with our sport, but he's now turned into a joke figure.
Salford are now seen as a comedy club.
But we still get deluded Salford fans thinking they can attract top players at the click of a finger just because their club have a few quid. Face facts, your few quality players are queueing up to leave.
McDermott is correct. You need to get new owners if you are to move forward as a club and want to challenge the so-called 'big 3'.

| I would not say Salford need new owners, lets face it the amount of money needed to keep Salford afloat will be colossal. I can't see Koukash selling it for a penny and the fans are not at the numbers needed to attract another big money man.
It's basically Koukash or no-one.
There are many many issues at Salford probably half of them we don't know. But I can only see Koukash digging himself out of this current hole. The thing is when he is signing all the cheques who internally is going to tell him, "Marwan, shut up."
Because that person will be shown the door double quick. The future of Salford is entirely in Marwans hands if he becomes more self aware, if people outside of RL start to be hesitant about dealing with him because of the way his comedy image has come across, then maybe he will realise that maybe he does overstep the mark and should at least keep off twitter for a start.

Nice of you to be so obsessed.
Here's my comment, seeing as you require it...
McDermott has a point. Should he have said it? No. Was it unprofessional? Yes.
I'm glad that you'll be happy now you've received my comment. Quite why I'm not so sure, and MR isn't my Brother, although you're quite welcome to go on believing it if it makes you feel happy. I'm all about the love, you see.

Yep.
Before Caddick took over Leeds were in financial strife having overpaid players for several seasons and being run like an amateur club on steroids.
When Caddick & Hetherington took over, Caddick guaranteed Leeds debt (but didn't pay it, Leeds did over several years. IIRC it was 2005 before we became debt free) but he had a man he trusted in Hetherington to run the show and I can't remember Caddick having made a statement since. Hetherington professionalised the entire club but his biggest positive move was bringing in quality people from outside to run the different aspects of the club. The most notable being Rob Oates who came from Tetley's to run the Commercial side (ie non matchday income) which now is worth over £3m per year to Leeds.
That is the difference between a bankrupt, unprofessional mess that was Leeds in the mid 90's and the debt free, relatively rich, profit-making Leeds of today. And that was done without millions being pumped into the club.
Koukash has to learn to put his money in the right places.

| I agree with are kyd (different Mum same milkman) in that BM more than likely has a point, I personally think the way he went about airing it is pretty much out of order.
I am worried that there are serious issues going on behind the scene, I just hope that they don't rip the club to pieces.

| I'm saddened for the Salford fans and players.
I think your club is only Salford in name and doesn't represent your great city or the fans.
Perhaps you feel the same?
I only wish the Dr could ressurect that family feeling of the 70s era at the Willows for you.
Should you stay away from Barton, visit the hj and wear your shirt with pride. You would be welcomed by the RL community at Warrington.
