| When I've been saying for the passed couple of weeks about missing someone/someone up front this fits the criteria.
He will add some angry into the front row, looks like the type of player who could become a massive fans favorite straight away.

Happiest players at Salford right now must be Chase and Smith.
More players on the way according to The Doc on Twitter,So what positions would we now like to see strengthened'"
Not many teams are going to look forward to squaring up against Morley, Griffin, Hock, Rapira and Tasi.
I still think we're a winger and a loose forward short of a really decent team.

What about an interchange hooker? Could Dixon or Ashurst not play loose forward?

| Tommy Lee,Gaz Owen and heard they were considering using Fages as interchange hooker.
I fancy Jordan Davies would make a good Loose Forward.Certainly has the size and tackling ability along with good pace and decent hands.Quality kicking game as well.

| So that's
1. Chase
2. Smith
3. Sa'u
4. Mullaney
5. Puletua
6. Rapira
7. Tasi.
It's looking like Salford know something we don't. Unfortunately for the RFL as Salford have already made these signings, if the rules change now to accommodate them it will not look good

Or as is more likely the RFL informed all the clubs earlier in the year to allow them to organise their recruitment plans.

Possibly. But doubtful as the decision won't be made till October.

Now you are having a laugh if you think the RFL can raise a subject and make a decision on the same day. This will have been on the cards for some time and got the agreement of all the SL clubs in advance.

| From what I understand Smith isn't on the list because we were allowed to buy him to allow Wakefield to get in some much needed money.

| At the Forever Reds meeting at Eccles Rugby Club Dave Matthews seemed to be saying that much depended on the passport held by the players concerned if I understood him correctly. This seemed to affect the numbers in each category. It seemed it was a bit of a juggling act.

I wouldn't be throwing any punches in Puletua's direction either, lovely bloke I believe but I wouldn't fancy a crack off him, he's massive!

Utter rubbish no way would rfl do this as the crusaders situation was completely different. Their whole team was made redundant so rfl had no choice. Smith is one player not a whole team so doubt very much he's exempt from quota.

Really impressed with Pulutua last Friday at Leeds, thought he went up a level when he needed to in this fixture.
The signing of Tasi will provide more competition for places and give us more depth. If Nobby can get everyone in great shape physically and mentally I can see us ruffling a few feathers in 2014. I really hope Emmitt, Ashurst, Dixon and the promising young lads like the Walne Brothers and Will Hope can rise to the challenge and provide real competition for places in the forwards.

Don't shoot the messenger I'm just pretty sure that's what I'd read somewhere.
I can see why they would have done this just not sure if I think it's right if true. Nor for that matter do I agree that we are increasing the number of foreign players allowed per team while looking to reduce the number of academy teams. The player drain down under is bad enough but when we run the risk of getting second rate imports it for me just compounds the issue,
