| Something just occured to my while posting on another thread.
Would it be a good idea to encourage RL fans to come to the game and maybe bring their families to shop at the TC? If someone at Peel could find a passenger carrying barge to ferry fans to and from the game then cars could be left at the TC. It was only the other week when I rode around the new site that I realised just how close the TC and ground are and how easy it would be to get to and from each if there was some form of passenger service, this might also tempt fans into useing some of the TC facilities for drinks and meals before the game?

39110_1363272058.jpg Dropkick Murphy..we actually saw and heard a mass of bouncing and scarf and flag waving to Dale Cavese that drowned out anything we could muster.. It stopped us singing our own celebratory songs, it died out seconds later when we accepted we couldn't be heard over the Wigan lot
Celebrations muted from us, job done from them. Most fans who slag them off are jealous their own club's support is nowhere near that good
-
sally cinnamon..Why not discuss Wigan? It's a rugby league message board. Wigan are the most famous brand in rugby league
-
Tre Cool..Saints fans are hopeless unless it's a cup final or grand final. Wigan fans are so much more loyal and passionate
-
the flying biscuit..Wires havent been massively succesful over the years, but I've spoke to Brian Bevan And he spoke to me and i wouldnt swap that for Wigans History, ever
-
Ande..on the TV i could only hear the Wigan fans with about 10 to go
-
Saint94..Every team is in your feckin shadow, we all know

I assumed from the very start that this was the point of using this location. Shocking decision to put the stadium there if they are not intending using the TC.

Agree it would be fantastic but the problem could be that the Trafford centre is no longer part of the Peel empire it was sold to Capital Shopping Centres Group in January. That's why our new sponsor will be Media City and not the Trafford Centre.
So we would need to get the new owners to see an advantage for them, but I'm sure it should not be beyond the marketing people to show that rugby fans bringing there family to the Trafford for a days shopping while attending the game would be worth there while

Think it's owned by the same guy so think the commercial viability of it would be all that mattered.
Not every family wants to watch RL but I'd suggest that if you said to your partner and kids do you want a trip to the TC to do some shopping if your say from Huil where they don't have the same massive shopping complex it is an enticing prospect.
Free secure parking coupled with a free transfer to the game would be a good idea.
There is also the fact that many of us who like a drink at the game would find it a lot easier to get to the TC than the ground, a few drinks in either of the Weatherspoons at the TC then over the canal to the game would make for a good game day experience.

| I went over barton bridge yesterday and there was a road at the side of the river which looks promissing as a sort of travell from the trafford centre to the stadium. And its looking great but just waiting for the seats to arrive?? haha

Luck is a combination of preparation and opportunity
Just to avoid confusion Starbug is the username of Steven Pike
SOMEBODY SAID that it couldn’t be done
But he with a chuckle replied
That “maybe it couldn’t,” but he would be one
Who wouldn’t say so till he’d tried.
So he buckled right in with the trace of a grin
On his face. If he worried he hid it.
He started to sing as he tackled the thing
That couldn’t be done, and he did it!:9005.jpg |

| But maybe not too tight eh? Love him or hate him, 163 consecutive appearances should make Stuart Littler a Salford legend in anyone's book :Others/NA.JPG |
