Quote: RED LEAGUE "Ye but that's nowt to do with watching football over rugby that's to do with salford having a crap team for years, if we develop a decent side over the next few years people will jump on the bandwagon, but not if they can't go in the first place.

Like I said could Shirley ask Marwan if the club could put a vote on facebook for Fridays or Sundays, and may w people who are season ticket holders who don't have FB could do it via email? This really needs to be sorted because I really do believe theirs a big crowd outguess for Salford but I know for a fact it's not going to come on a Friday! I just know for a fact it isn't.'"

Some sort of vote could be worthwhile but potential sponsors etc will also come into play. And to be honest if we had a decent side the day we play will probably become irrelevant.

Quote: RED LEAGUE "

I go in the Kersal club one game I could go because of holiday i offered everyone in the club my ticket but everyone in there either worked Friday nights or was put off by the rubbish public transport on a Friday night. All of them said they'd give it a go If they switched to sats or Sundays.'"

Some people will always use excuses though. If it had been on a Sat/Sunday they would probably have made another excuse. If we were winning every week a lot of them would suddenly find a way to get there whatever day/time we play.

Quote: RED LEAGUE "Yes and that family member changed shifts luckily for him, so me and all my family go to games, I'm talking other people in the same situations who don't get so lucky in work, how can you say me wanting games being played on a day everyone can go is being selfish?

I go in the Kersal club one game I could go because of holiday i offered everyone in the club my ticket but everyone in there either worked Friday nights or was put off by the rubbish public transport on a Friday night. All of them said they'd give it a go If they switched to sats or Sundays.'"

I'm not being funny but asking people in the Kersal Club is hardly conclusive proof crowds are waiting to flock to Barton. I'm sure we've all heard a thousands why people would go to Salford. In reality, it boils down to people not going because we've been consistently crap. Did all these people in the Kersal Club go when we played Hull KR on that Sunday night, the one with the lowest crowd of the season of 1,989?

You also didn't answer my point about our three best attended seasons of the last 15 years all being years when we played on Friday nights.

Those three best attended seasons probably included our playoff year too am I right. Plus we were at the willows then surrounded by a huge housing estate where people could walk up in 10/15 mins. Barton isn't the same it's in the middle of nowear hard to get too and transport links are rubbish on Fridays and not to
Mention work traffic around peel green roundabout.

All I ask is give people an option to vote for what they prefer what the majority wants we'll go for.

Erm my hunch is they wouldn't. In the same way people who work in the service industry on a Sunday wouldn't be able to go if we played on a Sunday. Whenever we play, people will miss out due to work such is he modern economy.

Sounds like we've missed a trick though with all these legions of night shift workers desperate to attend Salford matches.

Agree with "red league" Sundays all day for me. Work all week and to be honest the last thing you want to do on a friday after working all day is travel to barton which isnt the easiest of places to get to!!

Its not just United games but City and all major games football games on tv.In addition have you seen the queues for the Trafford Centre on a Sunday.
The two biggest deterents are cost and losing team.

It's ok for walshy though he and his fellow buddies don't half have a good drink on a Friday before and after matches let them have their fun don't think about families attending games or people who work late, which by the way dwarfes people who work on Sundays and even if they do its only normally till dinner anyway.

Anyway aslong as those 20 at forever reds get their nights out kept open for them that's all that matters.

Again no evidence,, just wild assertions. Plus not sure if you've realised but there are far more hours for drinking on a Sunday than on a Friday. I honestly don't know how you do it but your posts seem to get worse week on week, and that is some achievement considering some of your previous gems - I'm still waiting for Elliott Kear to sign. Have you got any updates from your source?

Are they the same type of ques you get on a Friday when people are stuck in gridlocked traffic trying to get home from work?

And Walshy I do actually know who you are to look at I did used to go to forever reds meetings back in the day and saw the nice little relationships you and the turkey boys made. but I can understand if you don't want your social life ruining, and walshy You have miles more drinking time Friday because you know there's no work in the morning so you can drink more and stay out for longer..

The Friday/Sunday argument may be irrelevant should Sky persist in their fondness for Thursday night games as I think they may like to show Salford Red Devils as often as possible in 2014.
It may be a Monday or a Thursday which is argued.
Perhaps the RFL and Sky have decided and told the 2 guests for tomorrow night. icon_confused.gif

Yeah apologies, you've come up with that many crazy statements on signings I confuse myself sometimes. As for the other part of your post - what on earth are you going on about?
