| Occam's razor: he's not yet fit.
As you know from your decades of RL, there is a difference between fit and match fit. He's not at the second level yet.
I've an end-of-year appraisal coming up. Are either of you two available to ghost write it? Then the negatives could be listed and I could cast aroung for any positives from elsewhere?

| It's a team game.... some people seem to have missed that and continue to find fault and blame with individual players / officials / RFL.
It never seems to be our fault as a team or the fact that the 'team' were not good enough over 80 minutes.
Too many people who watch this game simply don't understand it.

| I liked the interview in the MEN today and I for one jumped on the bandwagon with regards to his performance. I was expecting him to add an x factor but the guy needs games. I don't think we will see the best of him till the bottom 8. But I expect his partnership with Jones to grow. We need to get back on the wagon and climb the league. The draw made me feel better as I wouldn't fancy playing Wigan next and now we have a weak cough.
Bring on the saints!!!

| My query is why did he drop Evalds who seemed to be doing a decent job and scoring tries.Surely Vidot should have been coming off the bench.I think there seems to be a bit of an agenda with Niall and the coaching staff at the moment, whatever the rights and wrongs.

| Just me who thought it was a decent performance for his first game of RL in 9 months? I thought he returned the ball well and his defending to prevent Solomona scoring that try (which ended up being awarded) was excellent. Yes he was out jumped by Solomona earlier in the game but he isn't the first winger and wont be the last either.
Another 80 minutes on Friday will do him the world of good.

I thought his performance was okay as well. Not bad considering he's not played for 9 months and come back a bit early. Didn't set the world alight but didn't do much wrong either in a game that was fairly lacking on the performance meter from nearly everyone.

I'm not a doubter, I also thought he had a good game yesterday. like Carney he took the ball up and helped the forwards out. He needs at least 6 to 8 games to get his touch/timings right, I think he will come good. We will need a good centre when we lose one of our backs to Saints next season

| I think some folk is actually jumping the gun a bit with Vidot just for scoring Two walk-ins that even my old mate the butcher would have scored. He was nothing special going forward , however, he was frequently enthused to take the ball up. Which is a Non-negotiable. job to do.
But, as Wingers go he looks unorthodox, he's gait looks slow and flat footed, I think if he had a clear running chance, he'd be caught within seconds. The jury is still out for me until he gets fit, but Winger's shouldn't, as a rule, take ample time for this to improve however looking at Vidot his fitness levels don't look any better than Two weeks ago at Castleford. We'll have to wait and see but bigging him up for Two walk-ins is setting him up to fail and very short sighted.

| I think to call Vidot's first try a walk in is disingenuous. Not a very difficult chance but the pass was low and in front of him and there were 3 defenders in front of him and another came across to help out. I would argue a walk in is where there's no one in front of you. To praise him for scoring two tries is no more short sighted than writing him off after his first game back from injury after 6 months, especially by people who seem to think there is no difference between fit and match-fit. Anyone who compares Vidot to junior Langi must be very short sighted cos there is a massive difference in their build
Solid but unspectacular would be my assessment of him so far which is what I would expect given he's just back from injury, his style of plat requires high fitness levels and he's had Evalds and Bibby as his centres

Agree, not going to write him off or laud him after 3 games. Hopefully those 2 trys will give him more confidence

| Obviously if it's a centre it's either or both Sau and Griffin as their both only contracted for this season, aren't they?

| Reading Watto's post match interviews, sounds like Vidot has returned earlier than expected and "put his hand up" when needed. Clearly he isn't injuried anymore (otherwise we wouldn't have taken the risk) but he definitely isn't fit enough yet. I again thought he was solid on Saturday, making hard yards from within our own 20 and I can see him forming a lethal combo with Junior.

| I thought Vidot was solid in his performance. Anyone can see he hasn't got his match fitness back just yet. Thought he took his first try well and needed a bit of scoring to take on three committed defenders. He chimed-in plenty of times to do the hard stuff and didn't make any errors that I recall. He's growing in confidence and can see him getting better and better.
