First off well done on a great win shame it was somewhat marred by a very small minority of idiots.
Must also say a well done to those players for going in to help those women & children clearly petrified with the turn of events after the game.

seen the pics and yes it is the same who were in there....came in kicking chairs and abusing staff cos they had to queue to get a drink.

They tried to get back in the Rope walk after the game but police were there and apparently had a list of names from a bus that was waiting to leave and were ID'ing them all to see of they were on it as these were the ones involved, hopefully they got names.

All the decent Salford fans will be hoping that the culprits are identified and put before the courts.

Would imagine so, Widnes and Wakefield have both been fined £20,000 recently due to the actions of their fans, Wakey were also fined £1,000 for letting off a flare so there's both the with precedent.

I, in no way will defend the scenes earlier, but do you have some sort of alert set up when there is crowd trouble? You pop up on every away board ( Widnes\Wakefield\Castleford.....) Demanding justice, bigging up any incident, enjoying the disgust of others and generally demanding that something akin to the Spanish inquisition is convened.

Just woken up and seen that it is the lead headline on the BBC, it's a pity when Salford and RL in general is more often than not an after thought on there but this gets more coverage that it actually deserves.

The only good thing is it will drive a weak club to take action against the fans that can be identified, anything less than a total ban will be laughable.

Just seen the video and found myself waiting for the 'disgusting mass brawl' to break out and it ended.

Not acceptable and worthy of the people involved being banned but some shocking sensationalist journalism making much more of this than it merits.

Crineworghy over reaction if you ask me. Also players inflamed the situation by getting involved. Quick glance at Twitter this morning and the amount of Salford fans trying to be all high and mighty almost made me bring my porridge back up.

Have you ever heard the saying you were at the wrong game! If you have kids under the age of one would you have not jumped in to free them when you have a group of moans content on crushing anyone in there way!
They were out of control intimidating & belong in the zoo with all the other animals.

I was in the middle of the stand so couldn't see what was happening. I personally didn't see any punches thrown to justify being labelled a "mass brawl" trawling through Twitter this morning, lad ran in with flare which I did see, and from my postion it seem as if fans who moving down the stands to congratulate the players, then lost of pushing and shoving when players entered the stand. Those commenting on Twitter, most don't even seem to have been and making asumptions while trying to out do each other for the best fan award. Also if it was Juniors baby that was getting shoved about, why did he just not pick his baby up? Or even bear hug the chap, instead he choice to pin a young lad on the ground and put his fists in his throat using excessive force.
