I think you're being too pessimistic.

What you've got to remember is that if a team of players basically don't care and want away, playing e isn't great leverage when trying to attract interest from a new team. It's a dangerous tactic and one that just wouldn't happen.

In affect, if a player or players 'want away' their best option is to play themselves into an offer by another Club. Unless they're happy to take a serious pay cut and get swiped-up by a Championship Club. Common sense really.

But talking of Mr Barker. He does appear to be a close friend of Angela Powers if you look on a certain social media site.

If he were to join Widnes, to which I'd be overjoyed as I think he's a cracking player, were would you say his better position is? Centre or winger? I know be is a centre by trade but I think the pace he has surely makes him useful on the wing

He's good player when he gets the ball, which he'd get a lot of at Widnes. I think many peoples opinion of him are blighted by the transfer fee payed by Salford so expect him to be in the 17 consistently, when in actual fact he's third choice behind two very good centres in Sa'u and Griffin. I'd go so far as to say that the move to Salford has stagnated his career a little as he hasn't been able to kick on as many thought he would. But would still be a decent signing for us

I'd be miffed if MCB did leave, very good squad player and as has been said if he got the ball more he'd get a bucket full of points. Still doubt there's anyone quicker in full flight in SL.

It will be interesting if Rangi plays for SRD this weekend. Heard he is trying to play his way out of the club to join his beloved Legentium next year.

Be surprised if he didnt. Cas / Others would have a hefty fee to find as 2 years left on his contract (hes not on £30k either) - so doubt if he is going any further east than Pendlebury.

It wont be Rangi missing from the 17 this weekend, but another of half-backs will yet again be absent.
