| I can only believe this is also with the agreement of Noble. Looks like negotiations have been going on for a few weeks so I believe it will suit Noble as well. Someone in the post suggested that Noble may have also been finding it tougher than expected so it may suit all round.
I am not sure about Harris so will reserve judgement, however I will feel easier if Noble is around to help guide him.
On the other hand If as also been suggested Noble has been sacked I believe this will turn out to be a very poor judgement by Koukash.

| There's a lot presuming flying around about this. Truth is we don't know who or why it was instigated. It could be for good or bad reasons. I expect opposition fans to start flying off the handle because it's another good Koukash rant for the scrapbook.

You have to admit, he does give those fans plenty of ammunition in which to have a go at him??...
On a serious note, Koukash now seems to be sacking, or, if we are being kind, repositioning people who he only recently appointed, which seems to indicate that there may be a problem with the fellow doing the hiring??
Personally, I think Koukash is seriously overestimating what this Salford squad can actually achieve - Most fans, Salford or neutrals, realise the present side is far from the finished article and needs further strengthening, yet Koukash has almost convinced himself that this team should be serious trophy contenders and appears to be acting accordingly with his various rants at the side and now with this demotion/sacking of Noble.

| Quote: fez1 "Madness - sheer and utter madness.
Noble is one of the best coaches in the business.
Cashcow doesn't like a few drubbings and he throws not just the baby and bathwater out but also the f***ing bath.
I simply don't believe it - and as a Wire fan - feel really sorry for the Salford fans.
Cashcow has come in and spent a lot of money and expects success - no problem with that - but instant success? and in less than half a season?
Get real - unfortunately he's just underlined the fact that he doesn't understand rugby league.
Harris is not the saviour.
He'll develop into a good coach in time, but Noble has a lot more to offer at the moment.
Which top class coach would want to be judged after a handful of games?
Unbeliveable.'"
A post with childish references to someone's name has no credibility. I didn't even bother taking on board the content of your post.

| Listening to Radio Manchester and they had a theory that I would agree with - Noble was only ever a stop gap who would primarily be in place to help recruit the best possible players to start the "Devilution". He certainly has a massive contact list that would continue to be valuable in a role as "Director of Rugby". This would explain why he was only given a 12 month contract. When the job of head coach at Salford was originally up for grabs Harris was one of the main names in the frame, so maybe this has been agreed for a while?
Having said all that, I don't see why changing things at this point would be helpful to the team. Also, why is Harris the best man for the job? Either way, never a dull moment with the Doc. Plenty more column inches this week.

| Think you need to look at it from the Chairmans perspective. He handed Nobby the remit to build a good team within the salary cap. None of us are privy to the conditions but lets assume he was given an open cheque book. Marwans brass too.
Do we believe the squad assembled has been value for money? His remit surely would have been to `entertain` and bring the crowds back with flowing Rugby and good results. Has BN achieved the aim? I doubt it personally & surely the Chairman thinks similarly.

| The more I think of this, the more I am convinced this was Nobles doing rather than Koukash's. I reckon he's gone in and told MK that he's taken them as far as he can and doesn't want to be head coach anymore.

| Is it just me or does the Doc have an extremely unorthodox way of going about his business? I'm just perplexed why he would announce this on Twitter before Noble has made a decision about taking the new role offered to him. If Harris is being appointed on Monday why not wait until the Doc knows what Noble's decision is? There's never a dull moment is there, this is going to be some ride.

| Koukash on GMR stated it was his decision, and he had a difficult meeting today with Noble, who took the news badly.

Pretty clear he got overtaken by events. The news was starting to break so he blurted out a twitter announcement.
