| Was at the game last night. In terms of skill not brilliant from either team and there were some ridiculous mistakes both ways, although there where moments of brilliance I thought as well. I thought the officials where at real risk of spoiling it at times, especially in the first half, and I'm still pretty sure Meli had a foot in touch for the last try but fish and chip paper now!
Definitely a classic in terms of sheer entertainment value. I thought it was two teams playing their hearts out and frankly, you can give me the greatest players in the world, I would still prefer to watch that. Shame to be on the end of a defeat frankly as neither team deserved to loose.
Great noise created by your away following! Had much larger away support not create such an atmosphere. Hope Salford go on to do well in the cup! Well done.

3596.jpg this will not be the end, or even the beginning of the end.
It is merely the end of the beginning

My throat can vouch for that this morning and thanks for the good wishes.
I thought first half the Salford players looked so much up for this game that when leading 18-10 just before half time they could go on and win the game comfortably. That's never the way with Salford though and somehow again we go to sleep just before and after half-time? Yes there were a few errors from both teams but I thought some of the tries Salford scored were worldies and complimented by Mullaneys last conversion!
I'm going to keep looking at the positives of the game and hope it's a springboard for better things to come!
What a fantastic game!

I think it's important that we blame Noble when we lose and praise Sean Long when we win.
We do have previous for this.
How about we praise the whole squad and coaching staff when we win,and blame McRae or Simms when we lose

| Wish Nobby would get our defence sorted, were conceeding a poor average per game so far. Or does he want a defence coach for that now too?

Come on BR surely even you can see a more expansive approach since SL returned to help your regular Dinner chum? I am consistent - its Nobby's style which I dislike - let the ball do the work.
Rumours on Twiiter that Nobby said goodbye to the players this morning but even Neil Barker is denying it. I would have thought the players were having a day off today anyway so it looks well wide of the mark.

Yeah scoring 8 points at Hull in the league game despite numerous sets on their line was an attacking masterclass. Shame how Noble gets slated when we lose, yet Long gets the praise when we win.
Looks like Noble has either gone or is on borrowed time with the Harris appointment anyway we'll soon soon be running in tries for fun no doubt.

Looks like Barker is wrong again according the the Docs latest tweet:
"Brian Noble has been offered the position of " Director of Football ". We hope he will accept to continue with his excellent work ."

TS - Look Noble as a man = fine - but for me as a tactician he is not the man for us. I have been consistent with the attack criticism but if you are happy with seeing 5 drives and an up and under then you are welcome to it. I`m not. I was at the KC and saw the efforts on those first sets & they were v poor so I presume you are blaming Longy for that! Well if thats your stance then so be it.

| If anybody fancies a laugh, go on the FC forums, the majority of them are complaining that their seasons over and that now their only objective is to escape relegation!

Both good and bad displays should be the responsibility of the head coach. However if Long gets constantly lauded for any good attacking play surely any criticism for poor attacking displays should also be aimed in his direction?
Will be interesting to see how we go under Harris.

I think you'll find that one or two does not constitute a majority. Only one poster has actually said the season is over and the rest of us feel that once we have our full squad available we'll be ok. Well done on the win, but lets not go over the top.
