I'm feeling rather optimistic …42-6 for The Red Devils…Wakey still waiting on players to arrive and will have little prep time...attendance into 7k….providing there are no extreme weather conditions ..think there will be a lot of walk ups ….quite a few people I have spoken to ...who have not been for a while are now going... and Wakey will bring a decent amount with it being on a Sunday and the traffic not as bad

As far as I'm aware, the 3 overseas players Wakefield were waiting on arrived and trained today. Don't see why they won't feature on Sunday.

Salford are not the world super power some of our fans seem to think, and Wakefield are not the no hopers some people think either.

Exactly, its great to have so much positivity and optimism surrounding the club for once, but I fear too many of our fans are going to be in for shock on Sunday. Wakefield will not be coming to just roll over and have their belly's tickled, they'll be right up for it as will their fans. Its going to be the same for us everywhere we play.

FWIW I think we'll win just,but it would in no way, shape or form surprise me if we don't - crowd around 6.5k. This is a must win game even at this early stage of the season!

I thought I read somewhere last week it was Wednesday they were due to arrive? but you are correct... according to the Trinity club website they arrived today and Lee Smith released to Union….Whether the new players will be fresh and acclimatised to the chill of Barton remains to be seen?.. … got a feeling Tim Smith could work some magic Sunday against his old club …We did well at Warrington particularly the second half and after the season we endured last year… I am allowing myself some blind optimism for a change.

This will be a very tough game.Wakey would love to spoil the party. We don't want this to be a repeat of the last game at the Willows when a 10,000 crowd attended and left deflated. This time we have the players. If the weather and transport links are ok then 8,000 possible. 26-12 win.
