I'd rather focus on the fact he scored 21 tries in 24 games last season in a struggling side. His defence may be susect and he may struggle under the high ball but that can all be worked on. I think it would be a great signing. At present we've got Danny Williams, who can't catch a high ball and can't defend so at best it's like for like for someone with a better try scoring record.

He's already ten times better than Kevin Penny ever was and will be. His try scoring record in a very poor London team was excellent and he would be a great signing for us to finish off our squad for 2014. He's only a kid too, under Noble and our new conditioning team I imagine they'd bulk him up no problem. I wouldnt feel comfortable going into a season with just Francis Meli and Danny Williams as our only wingers.

We have signed the winger from Batley, also S'au can play wing, and let's not forget Niall Evalds.

They'll struggle to make him taller.
Nobles style is more Meli and Vanikolo,remember McAvoy who,for all his faults a was a big sod.

I must admit I forgot about Greg Johnson, but he's an unknown quantity and nobody knows he's going to go in Super League. I wouldnt have thought he has been signed with the thought of slotting him into the first team, which leaves us with Meli and Williams as our first choice wingers. Meli hasnt played on the wing for a while and was primarily used as a centre at Saints, which many think is now his best position due to his age. I think Williams can consider himself lucky to be retained when many others were released and I suspect the only reason he has been thus far is because we have recruited anyone better.

this time last year we would have been chuffed that someone of Dixons calibre ( Young , promising & in the England Knights squad )was linked with us .. if true , he'll be moving to a club that finished below his current one .

I still dont want a coward like Johnson in a red shirt next season and I'll not applaud him. I'd much rather see Evalds given his his chance.

Two young forwards? I always wondered if Bateman @ Bradford might be tempted to work with Noble so maybe hes one.

Says in the M.E.N and Advertiser that were after two YOUNG forwards and one almost done? So where does this leave Dixon?

I think Dixon will still be in Noble's plans for next season but suspect Matty Ashurst might struggle to get a game.

Still think Danny Kirmond is on the radar?

I'm still to be convinced by Dixon, very much agree that he's Kevin Penny MKII. Think anyone saying otherwise are just covering their arrse incase he signs for us, all in my opinion obviously.
