Don't get me wrong, I think it's great for the game and exciting for RL fans - but when it was mentioned that nothing has happened like this every before, there are deeper reasons for why this has had to happen that not all clubs have had to go through

He has a point no other team has ever had to buy a virtually new squad + change the name & logo of the club before in 1 off season. Which is why nothing like this has ever happened before. He wasn't having a dig.

We've done exactly that several times. Most promoted sides have. Granted, not all choose to announce them all on one day.

To be fair though, I guess it's just like a club (Hull Sharks) going bump because of p*ss poor management and being taken over by another (Gateshead Thunder) who just so happen to re-brand the club whilst bringing the majority of their playing squad and coaching staff with them.

Guess were not so dis similar, eh?

This marks the true beginning of the glorious rebirth of my beloved SALFORD rugby.

This season has been merely a build up to today.
