| Bradford won things because they had a huge pack who ran over the top of other teams, Noble always lacked a plan b. Once teams used small nippy players to evade his pack they lost out.
It was right to sack Harrison, as much as I admire him and think he did wonderful things in trying to bring the club kicking in to modern times he lacked the ability to adapt (much like Noble) Once other teams worked out his game plan we struggled and ended up relegated. The game V Catalan was the last straw for me. I always hold him in high regard but he lacked something to be a world class coach.

Stop teasing me with talk of a pack that runs over the top of teams, I don't think I've ever seen one of these at Salford.

How many people are in other super league backroom staff? More than ours I suspect

Please, please give us a big strong pack that runs over the other teams!
You're right,Karl went to plan B, a lightweight top of the ground pack that was relegated !
Anyone who was at Catalans that day would agree that he had to go.

Following Karl Harrison's dismissal he even admitted to the media that he understood the decision. It's easy for people to say it was a mistake years later but at the time the vast majority of supporters wanted a change.

| More backroom staff could only make things better for us, but I'd be highly doubtful someone would give up a head coach job to play second fiddle. Although you never know I suppose. As for a big pack that runs over opposition, it's what we've needed for the last fifteen years. Don't see that as a bad thing.

| Just to point out that the dominant Bradford pack was largely successful due to novelty. They were the first club to adopt a musclebound, run over the top of the opposition approach. Hell, they even had an 18st winger! Since then, many clubs have adopted a similar approach and as such, simply buying or producing bigger, stronger players would fail to achieve the success Noble had previously with Bradford. It's a bit more complicated now.

| I also thought Noble was presenting his CV last night, plenty of talk of having a vision (just what the Dr wanted to hear). The other thought that crossed my mind was about Adrian Morley, will he be with us next year, player/coach maybe?

It's surely been every RL coaches/clubs ideal to have a big physical side since 1895. Bradford didn't reinvent the wheel.

Mind you `Baloo` at Huddersfield is adopting the same tactics and they are top at the moment.

| In management there is nothing new, things tend to run in cycles, so perhaps as everyone moved to smaller mobile packs, someone was bound to come back with a monster pack sooner or later.

Well, it's obvious isn't it? He isn't really a multi-millionaire, just a GP from St Helens. You've told us that. I bet he got his doctorate from one of those correspondence courses. In fact, I bet he isn't even a real GP. I bet he's an aromatherapist or something.
Now the scales have fallen from our eyes, we can all see the truth, thanks to [iyou[/i, BrianBradyHandOff. You're [iace[/i.
Or maybe Brian Noble isn't the target. Just maybe. Or maybe he doesn't conduct job interviews in radio studios. No. He's an aromatherapist.

| If Noble does get the reigns I wounder if Jon Sharp would be his first backroom appointment? They worked together at Cruaders and for GB.

| I am quite surprised by this show of support for Noble bearing in mind he has had Phil Veivers on his coaching staff at both Bradford and Wigan.
He was national coach when Long walked out at the Tri-Nations 2006.
I believe his salary was paid by the RFL when he was at Crusaders and it was the RFL who had found the south Wales club a new home and new owners in Wrexham.( That went well ! )
