Quote: willowsshed "I admire his honesty in the book but in all seriousness, when I finished it my opinion of him as both a player and man drastically reduced. Every second story about a fight and how he's just an honest guy and won't back down to anyone blah blah blah. On the field he always worked his nuts off for this club, for that I will always have some respect for the bloke. His delusion towards his behaviour off it though cannot be forgiven. He was our captain and leader FFS. Marwan, stay well clear of him please.'"
Having read his book also, I drew the same opinion of him.
I think you have to admire every player of Rugby League who takes to the field of play and I don't believe any of them ever give less than 100% if they don't then their teammates and the opposition certainly will. However the minute they sign for a club they become a role models and as such their behaviour should be such they don't bring shame onto that club.
Sadly in his case he did.
