As to the age comment .I remember smirking when Bradford brought Steve Menzies over as a 35 yrs old, 39 in December with a new 1 year contract at Catalans.

We're talking Martin Gleeson here not Steve Menzies, Menzies is a legend of the game back home some players are an acception to the rule. Name me a three quarter who was mustard in his mid 30's at Salford only Gary Jack comes to mind with me, Gleeson's nowhere near that calibre.

My best memory of him was at Wilderspool, I was stood behind the dugout - a Wire fan was giving Hancock some stick trying to look hard, Hancock came to the touchline, pointed at the guy and in a broad Aussie accent said "you mate, outside, afterwards" - the guy never said a word for the rest of the game.
