Don't understand why anyone would want us to sign Fielden, he is at the end of a great career but really hasn't been the same player he was at Bradford. Mind and body finished for SL.
Would rather spend the money on Anderson and a kid.

I did say against my better judgement.
If he was available at the right price and wages, then there would be no harm. If he was wanting a considerable chunk of the cap then I'd say no.
I agree that a young hungry prop in his place would be just as good an option if not better. Just think, for the right price, Fielden wouldn't be too much of a gamble.

sorry mate but I don't understand how you think fielden isn't much of a gamble? as stated before he is injury prone on on the decline. Would be a poor signing for me, would rather have our good young prospect adam walne than him any day of the week. Another NL player who has been mentioned is this QLT, he looks exciting and would surely be available if he has something in his contract. Jack Holmes is going to be a star but I think he needs another 2/3 years,

I said he wouldn't be a gamble at the right price. There's a difference.
If we were to blow a huge chunk of wage allocation at someone like Fielden I'd say no way. If you could get him for peanuts it would still allow for the acquisition of good young forwards too.
Anyway, it's all hearsay and conjecture atm. |

| Can't believe i'm actually reading people wanting fielden, he's just lay on wigans treatment table for near on two years.
He's old injured and past it, i'd hope the club show no interest in him they don't want another edmonson or bailey type lay on our treatment table.  |
