I think the chairman only wants investment,on his terms.He does not want anybody with new ideas,just their money.
what we want in my opinion is somebody to take over lock stock and barrel.I know there will be some on here who
don't agree,but I think the silent majority will.We live in hope.

Just because some supporters have respect for a man that’s given 30 years loyal service and invested a lot of money in the club doesn’t mean they wouldn’t like to see new investment and new direction under new ownership.

Lets hope something happens sooner than later to put an end to this b*ll*x of continually having a cowardly, anonymous go at the one person who’s given more to this club than anyone over the past three decades. What have you and the other anonymous knockers ever done for this club with your time and money in comparison? Please tell us I am all ears?

100% Agree with your comments,some will have had the odd drink or taken a favour off the chairman and even patted him on the back or shook his hand,but have conveniently short memories.

according to the MEN there are 4 multi-millionaires living in Salford, the Done brothers are two, Ryan Giggs is the third so who is the 4th? perhaps they want to come forward and take over?

I think that reports wrong (surprised?) if you think of the property prices down Leigh Road then surely there must be multiple multi millionaires living down there.

Jim Ramsbottom to my knowledge still lives on Lancaster Road and know he is interested in the club but doubt very much he'd be a major investor and certainly not look to buy the club.

Does our current situation remind you of Wakefield's, prior to their club being taken over? Wakefield lost all their best players and went into administration, before the new owners came in. Bradford seem to have got away with it because they abused the good nature of the RFL fans, but there seems to be a trend that struggling clubs don't change ownership until they've hit the skids.

What I find sadly predictable is the lack of comments on this board about the impending new investment.

It's almost as if people wanted the club to stay as it is so they can peddle their bile about Wilky being culpable in the clubs downfall for not ploughing enough money into the club.

Wonder if the club turns it's fortunes round on the pitch if the same people who spew forth this bile return to watching the club and find someone new to hold a personal crusade against.

Can't speak for everyone, but I've had hopes built up too many times in the past only for them to either be a false dawn or for them to just peter out like a damp paarpp.

The investments been talked about for a long while now and I just hope it happens. As long as the investors understand that any kind of return of investment is probably long term and is dependent on the product on the pitch both in terms of entertainment and success I'll be happy!

I'd say most of us are waiting for any announcement and to see what actually happens before passing any comment, rather than the usual endless debates about conjecture and hearsay. As said above, the talk of investment has gone on for that long that, until it does actually happen, it's just another in the long line of rumours and promises to most people.

We shall see.
