| Of the 7 games remaining I would say we have a real chance to win in 5 of those, the other 2 being Wigan & Leeds away, let's see! I think the 8 is definitely in sight if we show the kind of commitment that has been mentioned from today's performance!

| I think it more likely Salford being Salford that we will lose to either Widnes or London and win either at Leeds or Wigan.
Don't think there's any real hope of getting into the top 8 but having said that think that 9th would be a real good outcome from the season. Depending on recruitment/retention the top 8 should be a real target for next season and should be seen as good steady progress.

Good john wilky last looked out
on the pitch at salford.
when the snow lay round about
deep and crisp and even
brightly played the lads that night
though the frost was cruelllll

| Thought Ste Wild was fantastic. Some of the hits he was putting in were immense. And it was nice to see the players in the middle of the field in a group at the end of the game cheering and celebrating before they came over to the fans. Great team spirit!

Agreed.
He also had the pack together in a huddle during the warm-up and addressed them.( If anyone has the number of tries we have conceded while Stephen Wild is NOT on the pitch I would be keen to know )
I had to leave before the end so I missed the celebration - that won't happen again !)
I think the omission of Sean Gleeson may have added fuel to the rumours of his departure to KR - or it may just have been tactical to nullify their threat down that side

The clock stopped at 4.10 showing 26 minutes left. It then went blank for a while before it came back on at 4.35 showing 5 minutes left. No idea where they found the extra 4 minutes of stoppages.

Ken Gill could make the ball talk.: |
|
| Though we were dangerous with ball in hand I think that for once defence won us the game. We managed to control Michael Dobson for most of the game and tackled their bigger forwards well except for a brief spell in the first half when they scored two tries on the back of silly penalties we gave away.
I thought it was a tremendous effort at a ground that we usually struggle at. I was delighted with the win and the team spirit I saw throughout the game and at the end.
I also thought that Phil Veivers was right to give the kicking duties to Daniel Holdsworth so that Marc Sneyd could focus on his scrum half role - which I thought he did well.
Another thread talks about alleged racial abuse, but we heard no evidence of that - and let's face it there weren't that many of us there! I thought the atmosphere among the "few" was good all afternoon - with plenty of good humour about the distance we were from the pitch.
