| Not happy about this at all,but what can we do??? Its the same old story--whenever we get/bring through a good player , they get poached from one of the bigger teams. So who plays scrum half now? Hopefully not DJ.He`s far better at stand off. Dont think Sneyd is up to the job yet.Weve still got a half decent chance of making the playoffs so if Bradford players do come up for grabs, I would go for Sammut. Think he would go well with DJ.

| maybe whatever fee it is could be used to purchase a replacement /other player from bradford for next year. In which case, good business!

| Being described as a 'substantial offer'. I hope that they approached us due to the injury to Leuluai, rather than vice versa in an attempt to free up some cash - can only add fuel to the fire of the various rumours about administration otherwise.

| substantial...cant see it being more than 10/20k. he was leaving anyway! I wouldnt have thought a fee like that would make much difference IF we are going in admin.
Just hope it doesnt put off players from signing /resigning for us as they make think we have no ambition!

Spot on, what does this say about us if we sell our scrum half in the middle of a season I know young Sneyd is highly rated amongst some people but he isn't ready for SL yet imo, so what the hell are we supposed to do for the remainder of the season. This club baffles me at times.

That's not a terrible shout. Although I'd definitely prefer Sneyd or Fages to be given some game time (It may well be too early for Theo though) I think it would be a good move for Longy to register himself with the RFL. Still plays a bit of RU so should be in shape and practically designed our attacking structures, so no excuses not to know the plays.

| Got to hold a unique place now as a player who will twice play in the playoffs for teams he didn't play most of the season for, hasn't he? And 2 different teams at that.

Given our position in the league, only a relatively few games left, then to me this says the club has made a very good commercial decision
Smith was going for nothing in 8 games - now he's gone for something

32990_1435324474.jpg First accept sadness. Realise that without losing 70% of the time, winning wouldn't be such a relief.:d7dc4b20b2c2dd7b76ac6eac29d5604e_32990.jpg |

Plus the club will save paying him about 4 months wages whilst allowing Sneyd or another youngster to gain some valuable experiance.

He's just put on his twitter account to DJ ''I better start dusting my boots off mmmm'' Think it'd be a tad embarrassing for the club if we have to do that but I'd rather play Long than Sneyd at this stage, alternate between the pair even give Sneyd some game time and see if he is good enough for the starting berth next season, which if he is Warrington or Wigan will poach him in two years time and then we start all over again.

| Salford wont make the playoffs, so if they can get a transfer fee then why not send Smith to Wigan early rather than just training him and giving him game time for their benefit. If this Sneyd is as good as ive been hearing then you have a real gem, and if you're good enough you're old enough so you can give him some game time and get ready for a real push next season.

| Official now according to the club's Facebook and official site. We received a "substantial" offer apparently, one "we couldn’t turn down". I don't rate him as highly as some others and Wigan must do, but I'm still sad to see him go. Had it been the end of the season then fine, but with games still left to play, what are we supposed to do now?
